  1. How anybody can celebrate that hack Myers' implosion is beyond me. How anybody can stomach losing to those pissant Royals is beyond me. Finishing behind them in the standings should be embarrassing to all Sox fans. Finishing behind them (as much as I hate to say it) should cost every Sox exec their jobs. The Royals suck and we, SADLY, are worse. f*** draft picks! Give me wins! The Sox are a total embarrassment two years after being the best.
  2. Kudos to Fields. He's been a definite bright spot. Now if they can just find a position for him where he doesn't cost us run after run.
  3. You are right, he reminded me of a bad hitting pitcher. BA went from being a stud prospect to nothing. Baseball is a cruel game.
  4. 5 for 5 is amazing. Even at this stage of his season, how many points did his average go up that one day?
  5. Bench Rex. Wait, that's for a diffrent board.
  6. Sisco sucks. I hoipe we never see him again.
  7. I agree to a certain extent. If you remember, early on we were getting great starting pitching for a good chunk of the season. Even with the bad offense, if we had a "good" bullpen we probably still could have hovered around .500 for a while. Then if the bullpen was "good" and several players (AJP, Paulie, Thome, Dye) actually hit, I think we could have contended. We had a playoff caliber starting rotation for a while. It was the bullpen that stunk.
  8. I give him credit for a nice season. The way I see it is if several other players had performed to their capabilities as well as Javy has, we'd be in the playoffs. Good job Javy
  9. I'd love to see some SS Hitmen highlights. Actually some highlights of Kittle and Bull Luzinski and Dick Allen. Also some Carlton Fisk highlights as well as Peters/Horlen if anybody has links.
  10. He's seen enough bad baseball this season.
  11. It was a perfect time to get to Johan. Any time we hit that Sox killer is the right time.
  12. What's the story on Anderson? What was his injury and how many months did he miss? What'd he hit? Do the Sox have any plans for him at all? If not you think they'd ship him out and give him a chance somewhere else. You never hear the guy's name in talks about the future. I mean he still does exist. What's the verdict on BA and his future with the Sox?
  13. I would think season ticket sales would take a major hit, but maybe the Sox have developed a loyal following of 30,000 or so who will come every night regardless. I would think tickets would be a hard sell for next season unless chicago is full of people with lots of disposable income who have learned to love going to the games since the magical season of 05.
  14. Josh Fields, lotsa homers and RBIs. Hopefully he'll hex Santana in the future as well. Bullpen actually did well.
  15. Great win. Fields hopefully will continue to abuse Santana next year when it counts more. Who would have figured we'd win in striking out 11 times against the Sox killer.
  16. Don't worry, with our bullpen you still have a chance to be happy tonight with a Sox loss. Then you and Cub fans can congratulate together at our team's losing. Go Soxx!!!
  17. PItcher's contracts are such a risk. How many years does Mussina have left? He has sucked this season as well.
  18. Yeah, it'd be nice to see Fields keep swatting homers. And Hall is so bad it is amazing.
  19. Better now than never. This is why winning is good now. Maybe we won't fear or suck against Santana as much in the future. Thome is on a mission of some kind. Every homer helps Fields. Fields' batting average may suck, but what he is doing power wise is pretty amazing and taken for granted by many fans, at least that's how it appears to me. Just win, baby! Every single game!
  20. Josh Fields is quietly putting together one of the best power seasons of any rookie in Sox history.
  21. Our players strike out too much. Hope next year we make contact.
  22. If the Sox purposely tanked, they would be fined so much money the team would never sign a free agent again. Just win, baby!!
  23. I tend to agree but there are a lot of people who disagree with us.
  24. Do your think Santana ... suck!
  25. What you say makes sense southside, but I don't think he's going to trade Garland. He's going to deal Contreras, probably for nothing that will help us much. Obviously Kenny will make changes. Getting Renteria and Hunter should help greatly I would think. The aging veterans simply need to get their head out of their ass from the start next year and contribute. I find it difficult to believe Thome, Paulie, AJP, Dye and Crede all are finished. I would think odds are great we'll finish closer to last than first, but I don't think it's impossible to turn things around with just some tinkering. new ss; Hunter, a Howry type reliever instead of the hacks we threw out there the first half of the season.
