  1. Good post Rowand. Hopefully the media will write about the s*** effort by the Flubs crew.
  2. Even though the rain f***ed up today's game totally, I had an awful feeling Zambo and Maddux would want revenge for last weekend and would pitch their asses off. We need to win tomorrow for pride sake and to get back on track, but don't bet the house on it.
  3. Beastly, How old are you? I'm assuming about 14. If so, relax, chill. Somebody said beautifully: Everytime a pitcher has a bad outing or a fielder makes an error etc. I read 5 posts about how that guy should be traded or WE NEED TO MAKE A TRADE and other types of bulls***. I sure hope those type of posts disappear, or this board is doomed. Last year's posts were much more mature and thought provoking. I still love most posts, but these sophmoric rant posts after losses are tiresome.
  4. For some reason I don't like Gload, but those are a lotta RBIs. What is our record with Gload in the lineup? It seems we lose most of the time, but that may just be my incorrect perception.
  5. I can't believe Zambrano backed up his words. He said something about how he couldn't wait to pitch again vs. the Sox after the loss at Cell. Hope we can come back in Game Two, but the Cubs may be on a mission this weekend.
  6. Great job on what Mariotti would say, Tizzle, great job! I love Oz. Telling it like it is. Good posts about Wrigley. I can't imagine if you had one of those seats where you can't even see the scoreboard you'd think the place was that great. I'm surprised we don't draw more fans considering the comfort of the Cell in comparision with Wrig.
  7. --I say we win one or get swept. Hope our young pitcher proves me wrong, but I can't imagine him stopping the Flubs cold on Sat.
  8. Good point by Baggs I feel. But I also liked Oz's remarks. That was neat the way he blasted him. That's a good way to make sure quotes aren't a distraction. Have the skipper show who's really boss and blast away. I love Oz. I'm glad the powers that be took a chance on him.
  9. All of the above, but growing up on the South side is huge.

    Loaiza

You've added more insight to this message board in 36 posts than some have in 2,000. I wouldn't go that far.

    Loaiza

It is painfully obvious that Loaiza is nowhere near the level he was at last year. His arm strength isn't even close. With that in mind, KW should NOT sign Loaiza to a deal after the season. Because of his inflated win total this year, combined with last years stats, he's going to get a lot more money than he is worth. --It's painfully obvious Esteban is a good major league pitcher and we should keep him and sign him.
  12. "That scenario would (anger) me quite highly," Schoeneweis said. "If that's the scenario then I will be looking to pitch elsewhere." I'm like Baggs. At least he was honest when approached right after it happened. He'll settle down and accept his role, I'd bet. If not, we'll have to dump him. But I like the fact he's a competitor, too.
  13. Good point! Also I hope I reversed jinxed our Sox by recently wondering why we couldn't string several wins together like most teams. We have won (blank) in a row and counting. I won't say the number lest I jinx da SOX.
  14. Hopefully we have a Kangaroo court and they at least fine him in there. I didn't see the replay yet. Hopefully King Carlos knew for sure it was gone this time. I also hope he has a big series at Wrigley. They are gonna want to kick our ass.
  15. I gotta say Kudos to Garland since I have no problem blasting him when he isn't as sharp. --Glad to see those who call him Judy give him props. Man ... what a performance! Nice, on a day we needed it with our bats only good enough to give us a win.
  16. Brando is right. We have jinx woes regarding Jose. Somebody blast him so he will stay hot. At this pace, he's having a dare I say, MVP season.
  17. I think he would have in any other series but this one, because he didn't want anything stupid to happen and the twins come back to win. EXACTLY! Dat's the reason. Oz doesn't want to f*** around at this point in time, til we make sure we are going to fly high the rest of the way. Oz is going by his gut, too, which is nice and what he promised after Mr. Disaster (Koch) was finally traded.
  18. Great last line by Brando. I was about to jinx Jose by starting a thread on him saying how hot he is and how great he is. He is what he is ... but he's definitely one of our gamers.
  19. Ozzie Guillen sounds like a helluva guy. Adopting his niece and helping out that guy's family!
  20. Thank God Baggs is back. This guy always has a sane head on his shoulders. I love Jose V. When he has that home run stroke going it's a thing of beauty.
  21. To the few Mark Buehrle doubters that still exist on this board and elsewhere. Foo on you. He was AWESOME! Put him in the all-star game.
  22. I have to side with Brando this time. But once Sox build a big lead, then I want Miguel to smack a couple of homers to oppostie field and pick some slack-jawed yockel off a base for good measure........... Sox HAVE to be shown that it's NOT alright to give up the future for a player who could have been had earlier for less if only they were willing to spend a Mill more. --I think he's read this one correctly. I hope the same for Miguel. To suck when the game is on the line, then do what Brando suggested.
  23. It's not whining to say we overpaid. It's up to Freddie to shut up those concerned about the trade. If he pulls a Clemens everybody's gonna love him and KW. Catcher is an important position. It's OK for fans to be concerned about giving away a guy who has a gun for an arm and has done a pretty good job at the plate in his ABs this year. I'm sure Seattle is pretty happy they have a catcher for the next 10 years. If we can get a good year out of FG and re-sign him, then it'll look good. Nobody's whining, they are pointing out a problem. We didn't just give away minor leaguers, we gave away a catcher with a gun.
  24. Oz had a good quote about this putting the pressure on he and Coop. Let's say for some reason we don't play well after acquiring Freddie. Does Oz get the ax? Does Coop? Does KW?
  25. I agree ... the Duke must come back. He was hilarious. That is a neat story about Donn Pall. It amazes me all the players like Pall and Parque who have a taste, but for whatever reason, don't last long in the bigs. The average baseball player would be smart to copy DJ, etc., be kind to the media and colorful quote as a player, and try to land a color man job when they are finished. I think being a color man is a lot better life than being a minor league coach/instructor.
