The Official "Fire Ozzie" Thread
Well, OG sucks as a manager. He can't manage, which is a large part of the job. He is, on the other hand, a tremendous cheerleader. He'd easily be the captain of the pep squad if they were to create one. You really believe this collection of talent we have was worthy of winning 94 games without a good manager? Tough crowd.

AND THATS AN INDIANS LOSER
Lets see how well they handle a little pressure. Uh, they handled pressure pretty well at the Cell beating our ass two of three.

Why aren't we taking care of business against fricking Detroit?

The Official "Fire Ozzie" Thread
It's fate we don't win the damn division. It's not Ozzie's fault fathom. We've won 94 f***ing games. How many do you want him to win?? Cleveland got hot we went in the tank. Deal with it.Geez.
-
No one said it would be easy
I don't think we're gonna win a game in Cleveland. No way. Does anybody out there think we can win a game in Cleveland? After their incredible comeback they will not stop letting us win a game there. Can we still realistically claim the wild card?

White Sox @ Tigers 9/26 Game Thread
I like Ozzie. He's led us to 94 fricking wins. If it's not enough, that's baseball. Yes we have sucked big time the last many weeks but we've won 94 games. If we are the biggest choke in history it probably is the Chicago jinx, cause we may end up with 95-97 wins.

White Sox @ Tigers 9/26 Game Thread
Check the Sox history books. Hope this isn't 1967 all over again. Completely tanking the final week against miserable teams and missing out. We really needed to win tonight. It's gonna be a dogfight, good luck Sox!

Freddy needs to drink more fluids
He needs to donate one day's salary to the beer vendors and have them give free fluids to the fans who have to watch him pitch as his crap outings have greatly contributed to our freefall.

When will the Sox score their next run?
Next time we play the Cubs ... maybe.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
I tell you I can't blame our fans if they don't show up more than 15,000 per game for the Twins. I mean yes if you love and cherish any and every baseball game, by all means, go, but obviously cheering for the team isn't helping this team get its head out of its ass (see 2 of 3 losses vs. Cleve and all the Angels losses at home). So there's no reason to go to "support" the team. They're gonna win or lose regardless. If I lived in chicago I'd want to go just for love of baseball but I dont see how Moronotti or anybody can blame our fans if they fail to show.

If all goes well travel wise I will be in Vegas tomorrow in time to bet parlays involving the biggest locks of the year. We lose to Minnie and Cleve beats KC. I might as well make some money off this total utter collapse.

I don't want to hear it
I'm content with this season if they make the playoffs. This team has proven to me they're a solid collection of players, but they're nowhere near the talent level of some other teams. Is that fathom because you simply want to avoid the Sox being the team to blow the biggest division lead in history? If we somehow limp into the playoffs I still want us to win in the playoffs. I want us to find that pitching magic and have fred, mark and jon dominate and lead us to our world series (I know, the odds of me winning the lottery are probly better).

I'll tell you who I've seen enough of and who surely will be back -- Everett. I'm not blaming him for the collapse, I've just seen enough of him. Give me Carlos Lee! Do not give me Carl Everett.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
We have been shuffling talent on and off this team for years. Last year we got rid of Valentin and Lee. Who do we get rid of now? And don't forget Maggs. If we lose PK this is going to start showing up in the standings. We have lost Lee, Maggs, maybe PK and Frank. You can't win with Jermaine Dye and Carl Everett as your pop.

Hey Jim, you have followed the sox a long time. Do you agree this is about the most bizarre season you've witnessed? Is it driving you batty as it is me or are you relaxing and just watching how it plays out?

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't such an all or nothing season. This winning every game and us feeling so cocky for 3 months and now losing almost every f***ing game while Cleveland wins, wins, wins, has been torturous. I know it's not life and death but it sure does suck. Also, Jim said: What's the difference anyways? The fan base will see what the team is made of over the next 11 games. If the team can't get it done, they wouldn't have done s*** in the playoffs regardless. I agree but at this point I sort of agree with fathom. It's almost like we're at the point we have to stagger into the playoffs just to avoid being the biggest blowers of a lead in baseball history. That would be a victory in itself (for about 18 hours) til we absolutely get crushed in the playoffs.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
what gets me is how simple this is. if Jon shuts them out tonight, we're not only fine, we're actually safe to win this damn division. Doesn't happen in our home part and suddenly the outlook is as bleak as ever with tomorrow's automatic loss to go with the 3 games we will lose in cleveland to close the season.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
Thank god I'll be in vegas this weekend and won't have time to sweat every pitch, every inning of this trainwreck. This is insane what has been going on since Sept. 9. This is brutally insane.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
This is now a statement game for Cleveland. They kicked our ass in game three just like they salted away KC, 11-0. Good luck trying to hang on, you anemic White Sox. This game is in Chicago for godsakes and we get our asses kicked in the rubber game. Can anybody not blast the team after this one????

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
It's a disservice what Ozzie did to JG tonight, he pitched his ass off and got out of a few jams, but he kept him out there, What the f*** does Cotts have to do to get respect? He should have been pitching to Hafner I don't know why you even point to that. We didn't score a run. We continue to stagger. It's not Oz, it's the team. We suck right now and are trying to limp into the playoffs. It's pretty bad when you just know we are going to lose tomorrow and the game is in Chicago. That is a sign right there we are a shadow of the team we once had. The magic is gone.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
No offense but if we had any balls we'd have won 5-0 tonight. This is the type of game I expected after last night only with us winning 5-0 to 9-0. Instead ... our woes continue. I want to know if any of you are keeping your sanity. How are you handling this? Again tonight if we win it would have been almost impossible to blow the lead considering we figure to beat Minn at least 2 of 4. Instead, we're f***ed again with Cleve certain to sweep KC and we will not sweep Minn. How are you keeping your sanity?
-
Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
If we don't win tonight and it looks bleak, this series was a failure. Our last series was a failure considering Cleve swept KC while we were winning 2 of 3. We just keep dropping games.
-
Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
Exactly. Our exciting win last night did nothing to slow the Tribe and did nothing to excite our bats and our team. Fred, Mark and Jon did not record a win in the 3 games. On we plod, trying to win the division by a single game.
-
Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
Scott Elarton? We are lucky we didn't get swept this series. We just can't get anything going at all. We better sweep Minnie somehow cause the Tribe again is going to dust away KC.

another reason to feel confident...
Let's face it. We're trying to stagger into the playoffs any way we can and staggering is what we are doing. Tonight's effort has been totally pathetic.
