Jon Garland
The best thing about Garland is that as far as I can remember he has never had an injury and certainly does not have the nagging injuries that a guy like El Duque has had a history of --Oops, everybody better knock on wood on that line. If this is the real Jon, I hope he gets a deal similar to Mark B's. We seem to have done a pretty good job of putting together a great rotation and paying them good money but not outlandish. If we win the division this year, I will give KW much credit for his master plan.

Garland AL POM and POW
5-0 is Clemensesque. Hope he can keep it up. If he does, the patience KW, Oz, Manuel, et. all have shown in him will have worked out nicely. No matter what happens, great start, Mr. Garland. Good job.

Sox vs. Tigers 4-29-05
I was disappointed we couldn't get it done at home with bases loaded and nobody out in the ninth. We had to put it away there. And then we have a couple more innings with the last at bat in a tie game before the Tabs score a run. I guess that's baseball, but out ineptitude at the plate cost us a home game against one of our division foes. I'm not down on the team, but it sucks that right after a big win streak we've dropped 3 in a row. Hope we don't make it four.

Sox vs. Tigers 4-29-05
After this season, move the f***ing fence back Don't do that, but I sure wish everybody would swing like Iggy.

It's not the Crede, Arow, or Mendoza Line!
Dye is really killing us. Hope he gets it going. His automatic out is not helping.

Sox vs. Tigers 4-29-05
Our lead goes from 5 to 1 1/2 in just over 3 1/2 days. --That's baseball. But we shoulda won this one in the ninth. We ain't got much punch in our order that's for sure. Hate to waste another great pitching outing at home.

Ozzie opened his big damn mouth again...
I think it's great oz speaks his mind. We've wanted the Sox to be more aggressive since passive, yet sometimes effective Jerry Manuel. At least Oz deserves respect unlike that buffoon loudmouth, Bevington. I like Oz's style.

People, People, People
Friday should be packed --Are you kidding me? In April/May, vs. the Tigers? No way it's packed. 25,000 maybe.

Sox rated worst franshise to root for
That guy can eat it. I love Hawk Harrelson and I bet most sox fans do also.

Jermaine Dye or...........
I loved the comparison somebody made a few weeks ago of dye looking like Michael Jordan when he played baseball. I don't dislike Dye but he sure is an easy out right now. Is Anderson a great prospect? Would we be rushing him to bring him up now? How's Borchard doing in the minors? I'm too lazy to look it up. I say give rf to Joe B!! He can't hit any worse than Dye and when he connects it'll be a 500 foot bomb.

What do you think
This team is playing so well it's hard to say. If Garland and Crede are for real and Everett keeps knocking in runs like this we'll win the league by 6 games I feel.

My gosh, no more Judy
What a masterpiece. I'm so glad Oz left him in the ninth. No reason to not let him go all the way. Man was Garland in control. Nice, fluid pitching motion. As dominant as a guy can be in only striking out three or so. Glad Kenny and Oz and Coop didn't give up on him. He looks like he's turned his career up a notch. And he gets us off to a good start in a place we never win the opening game of a series. Way to go, Jon.

2005 White Sox are the 2003 KC Royals
I agree, enjoy it while we can. It's better to be this record than 2 below .500. And don't forget our team changes when Frank returns. Just enjoy. We are playing good baseball.

Awful Experience at Sox Park (Cellular Field)
Fantastic post, Jim. That wasn't a rant. It was educational.

Holy Cow, Joe Crede
I know there's another thread on Joe, but what in the heck is going on? He's become a stud. With his defense, if he can hit .300 allyear like this, wow, we may have something special going. Kill this thread if its superfluous, but I love Joe!

The "Joe Crede Support Group"
I've never given up on joe, either, so also count me in.

And that's a White Sox winner!!!
Man we are getting the job done. hope it continues. Who'd a thunk Crede and Garland would look like they belong. All of KW's acquisitions are doing well. We are winning and acting like we are winners. This is awesome. Hope we can keep it rolling.

Dare i say Sweep
There's no such thing as a jinx you fruit-cakes I liked the use of the word fruit-cakes in that sentence. Made me laugh more than had you used a cuss word. Good stuff. I don't believe in jinx's either. But it is uncanny how stuff happens jinxish.

Interesting Sun Times article
Good column, good rebuttal. Interesting topic. I won't complain, how could anybody complain as we've won all 4 series? But it will be interesting to see if and when some of our guys start hitting. It seems the columnist doesn't think our starting pitching will be this good all the way through? I prefer to think it's for real. If our pitching's for real, we should be in the hunt all year. But it would be nice to see Dye, Joe, Timo, Rowand start hitting.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
amazing, amazing, amazing. Mark B and Paulie, way to go!

Garland's post game comments
Congrats to Jon; great game; glad he got the decision. It's amazing to think a hit off dustin and he gets a no decision. Way to pitch, Jon!

White Sox @ Twins: 4/10/05 Game Thread
Why do we have to lower our expectations like that? Why can't we be mad at the true cause of tonight's loss? --You mean the one bad pitch by Mark B that got taken out by Hunter? No room for error vs. Mr. Cy Young and we lose. But we win the series, which is big. On to the next series. We need to win that one, too and keep plugging away.

Nice double by Joe. He's got talent. Maybe our organization's patience with him will pay off.

Who is your fav active ex Sox player

White Sox @ Twins: 4/10/05 Game Thread
I was hoping the two early runs coupled with a homer by Paulie would be enough. But we didn't get the Paulie homer, understandably, since this guy can pitch like a fiend. Maybe we'll get luck in the late innings and pull it out for da sweep.
