Great point that Colon does give us a shred of respect nationally. Colon should go nowhere. If he is a prick in the clubhouse some veteran should do something to put him in his place or we don't deserve to win anyway.

That would unite the team, the clubhouse especially with those two gone, and spark this team to a great second half. We pretty much need a new ss, 2B and cf. The question is how do we rebuild in those 3 positions? Any ideas? I'd be all for bringing up minor leaguers to replace Jose, D'angelo and the stiffs who patrol center for us. I'd rather lose or be mediocre with new bodies.

Koch is such a disaster. Like you said, it's the Ritchie deal all over again. He is a joke.

Good point Laura. I don't think we're negative all the time, though, and we're not fair weather fans. We are still here. We just want to either win or lose pretty, not lose like a bunch of rubes. As far as tonight, I am very impressed with Marte and Koch especially after their recent woes. And it's nice that the team won in Minnesota after blowing that lead to the Cubs Sunday. It gives us a glimmer of hope that we may possibly have some heart this year. I sure hope so.

How come none of you are jumping on my beltran bandwagon? And Jim ... I followed hockey in the old days also with Bobby Hull, Mikita, Dennis Hull, Pappin, Tony O, Gerry Desjardins, etc., but after leaving chicago for many years I can name no blackhawks. I was wondering if you still follow it or care anymore since the grand ol days of Hulls?

This is scary. I want E-Lo to stay in the ninth, but mostly because I have no trust in Botch. I hate to see E-Lo give up a two-run dinger to lose it, but I'm on the record saying leave in E-Lo. What do you all say. We can second guess ourselves later. I do think Koch may blow the game. I say leave in E-Lo for the wrong reasons, the fact our closer scares the s*** out of me. At this point in time, I don't like our chances in this game. Comments?
