I see Abreu is continuing his August blitz. No offense but the Abreu haters always get shown up in August. I know most of the board loves him but when will he earn the trust of ALL Sox fans including one on this board. 28 hrs for Abreu and 102 RBIs. WOW. Also nice job Grandal. He's up to 18 homers. Very nice. Grandal if healthy will lead this team to greatness in October/November. He is not a run of the mill hitter. He's good folks.

You are probably right but I think Eloy's body type is different and special as well. The man is huge and by no means a lumbering ox.

Good point bringing up Dick Allen. Robert obviously is special if he can stay healthy. Big Frank, Dick Allen, Robert and Eloy. Yes Eloy! He's also freakishly full of superstar potential. ... I don't mention Abreu, who is one of my all time faves, but I wouldn't balk if Abreu was on some sort of list of Sox studs.

Sunday lineup mania.

If Sox can't beat Cubs five out of six this season it's pretty sad state of affairs. Sox are way too inconsistent right now (I feel whenever I say anything negative about the team I have to add all the injuries, etc.).

Do all teams talk about "resting" players as much as the Sox do? We've been doing it on this board since Ozzie's Sunday lineup days. This rest thing is overrated. Play your top lineup every fricking day and give a guy a day off once every 2 weeks. Sox are a walking injury anyway no matter how much rest they get.

If this keeps up in almost all big cities (carjacks, senseless beatings), people would and should MOVE OUT. Letting people out without bond, failing to convict is reprehensible. If you are a gang member, I just bet you they have organized carjack weekends, weekdays. It's so easy. Just carjack. You will get away with it. Something is going on in America; for whatever reason, radicals don't want crime prosecuted and it will bankrupt all big cities eventually. Anybody who lives in Chicago right now is crazy, IMO. Serious question not trying to flame. I really wonder and want advice. ... I usually/always get the flu vaccine in late September. I've heard the Shingles 2 shots are vital cause Shingles is NASTY. I have taken 2 doses of Moderna and they say boosters are on the way. "Common sense" tells me if I get all the vaccines ... that's a lot of "stuff" cascading thru my body. So ... flu shot? I've heard nothing about the flu the past 12 months? Shingles? Booster? Wat's a person to do? Get all vaccined up with all of 'em or ?
