  1. Sox have a chance now.
  2. I love that fastball he just threw. Nice.
  3. With those hitters coming up, they had to bunt. Normally I don't like it but it was obvious Sox needed to move the runner to have any chance.
  4. Odds are dismal that this goes to the 11th.
  5. You are right. The foul ball was the real chance.
  6. That looked low. No contact. It's all or nothing with all hitters, baby. HR or K.
  7. Big at bat for Goodwin. No bunt.
  8. That would be neat if Vaughn got really hot and finished with 25 homers. I realize he's got some work to do, but 15 isn't half bad. Anybody else getting the feeling it's the same ol story for the Sox (and most teams). If Abreu, Robert, Vaughn and Eloy and Grandal (even Timmy) hit HRs the Sox will be the story of the postseason but if they don't the Sox will bow out early. The team is in place to win now if the team hits HRs and if the three relievers excel. Would be nice if we had a warm weather postseason, too.
  9. Great win. Robert and Eloy are locked in.
  10. Stuff happens. Not saying you, but modern stat lovers go by the whole, not a few specific at bats. Jose should please the advanced stat lovers and traditional stat lovers cause he has good stats every, single year. Those who want him to be perfect (not saying you) really need to get a grip. Nobody is perfect. Jose is a HR, RBI machine. He turned into a good defensive first baseman. Depending on whether he's hot or not could determine how he (and all players) fares in the postseason. Jose is an elite talent whether haters believe that or not. His full body of work screams, "Put me in the White Sox Hall of Fame." forgive me if this offends anybody but I love Jose A.
  11. Great win. My fave, Jose with 25th homer. Stud.
  12. If Yermin doesn't return at some point to MLB and make it, what a wild story it will be. A month and a half of being a total hero. Talk about 15 minutes of fame and success, wow. I mean for him it wasn't just one good game it was many. He was epic.
  13. The eye test tells me Hendriks is the closer. Tony is doing this the right way. The three pitchers are being used in the right order to close games.
  14. Soxtalk posters definitely overreacted about Hendriks after the recent blown saves. He was electric tonight.
  15. Everybody in MLB is trying to hit a home run every at bat so it's difficult to be effective hitters with RISP. The odds of hitting a home run in at bat are miniscule, same for RISP because of the desire to homer.
  16. I'm no fair weather fan. I've been a Sox fan forever. I'm not as optimistic as El Rockin nor as pessimistic as some of the others.
  17. I just don't like seeing criticism of Jose. I feel he's earned a lifetime achievement award from Sox fans so to speak. At some point, it's dumb to question anything regarding a proven RBI man like Abreu. I just think some guys have earned the right to not be judged at bat to at bat. That's just me. I was that way with Konerko too.
  18. Irresponsible of the TV crew to not keep the camera on Hendriks when he came out. He was pissed, presumably at himself and not Tony for yanking him and subjecting him to a few boo birds. Was anybody at the game? I heard a few boos on the telecast.
  19. I like him, I just think he's not going to make it with the Sox. He's under .200 now as well. I don't think he was gonna be hero tonight. Maybe his time will come.
  20. This in retrospect was one, dumb post. I think I picked a good favorite player about 3 seasons ago in Mr. RBI, Jose Abreu.
  21. He's been very bad of late. Must be humbling to be so rotten during this stretch. He's firing it in there and getting clobbered.
  22. Collins is not doing well right now. He'd not have gotten a hit.
  23. I'd say it's Vaughn. Just cause I like him. I think Rodon is the overall hero though. Team MVP: Tim Anderson. Unsung hero: Vaughn. Best pitcher: Rodon. Most potential: Eloy. Biggest surprise: LaRussa being so good he's made a mockery out of his haters.
