  1. Because of what's happened to the franchise, might as well keep losing the rest of this week. Keep the losses coming.
  2. Yet he's just another guy. He's pretty unsplendid.
  3. Kudos to ESPN for knowing. I wonder what we all predicted. I betcha I had us under 40 wins. ... That said I was thinking today that the Sox high paid executives had to know this team was horsebleep coming out of spring training and would be monumentally bad. Lineup: Full of wiffle ball bats. ONLY way it coulda been an OK offense is if Moncada, Robert, Vaughn, Sheets, Beni raked at the plate to make up for your Maldy's, Nickys, DeBongs and the other stiffs on the roster. Anybody with a brain knew the players I mentioned would not rake. Hence offensive potential out of spring training? 2 out of 10 max. Pitching: Cmon. The Sox entered the season with the worst rotation in baseball. The Sox entered with the worst bullpen in team history. Pitching potential out of ST? 2 out of 10 max. Defense: Whatever. You knew we were weak up the middle or average at best. Beni is a joke in LF arm wise. Robert is good. RF was a total joke. Defensive potential 3.5 out of 10. It all added up to a horrible record. Sox wasted a lot of money on front office personnel. Fathom and Caulfield coulda written an essay for them showing we would stink.
  4. C is the answer. No reason for ballplayers to cite the weaknesses of a franchise unless they are asked.
  5. Well they did it. 120 losses. Now they have to stay in the 30s in wins. The sad thing is, today's lineup is pretty much next year's lineup. I can't see why they should be any better with that the case. Subtrack Crochet and you get a worse season some how.
  6. I want win total to be in the 30s. That's a remarkable achievement.
  7. I'm assuming Sosa makes very little money. So there's one spot locked up for next season. Probably Vargas as well. So there's 2 slots they don't have to find a DeBong or Nicky L type.
  8. Do u really believe that? He and Benetti were amazing. And he and Hawk. I just found Stoney so enjoyable when I watched games.
  9. You'd think Stoney would quit after the final game. Some other team would pick him up in a minute. His partner is amateurish sorry to say. He can stay obviously but Stoney should move on and let him have Gordo.
  10. 119 losses. How? Why? Nobody could have ever predicted a team could ever be this bad. Even expansion teams won more games in a season. Jerry is a colossal failure. This almost nullifies the 2005 title. I mean there's still a chance we don't even win 40. Think about that. Jerry ... get some of your money and walk through the crowd at our final home game and give out some 100 dollar bills. My gawd.
  11. I'd say the highest possible win total is 50. Maybe they'll win 45 just cause of law of averages.
  12. I think it'll be worse. They have no good everyday players except maybe Robert and the catcher might be acceptable. Sox will be out of the race in April again. How they get buried by the likes of KC, Minnie, Detroit and Cleveland is puzzling.
  13. Lot of fans on here believe in the myth. Unfortunately the double tank jobs mean no title contention for a good, long while. How long? WE HAVE NO GOOD PLAYERS except Crochet and maybe Robert (though some say our young pitching may be stellar). It's gonna take a long while.
  14. Cause he's a budding star and the goal of all teams should be to keep their stars. It mite translate to wins.
  15. Cause he's from Naperville.
  16. Tatis looked hitterish and like he cared. Robert ... me no likey his last at bat. Losing 120 games will be epic if it happens.
  17. Tatis????? LOL. What an organization. What a joke. Another guy who coulda made us a WINNER. Bunch of stiffs.
  18. Wow. Good game. I wonder why I want the Sox to lose. Habit I guess. Sox made a good move putting in the lefty against all those lefties.
  19. Wild pitch would be fitting, lol.
  20. I know why u bunt but if u are playing the Sox and are the Pads why bunt? Two on none out. Eventually you'll get the winning hit.
  21. Hard to bunt against a lefty fastball when u a lefty.
  22. What good is a guy who only throws fastballs??
  23. This closer wins if he had a slider to throw in the dirt.
  24. Why all the fastballs??? Sox tie it, nice job Sosa.
  25. Trading him will hurt this team ... a lot.
