That's exactly right. The Sox have definitely affected the race by virtue of their ineptitude. Royals are 11 over .500. They also are 12-1 versus the Sox I believe.

I've been thinking about this. Jerry isn't going to get any state money for a new stadium. If they have any type of vote regarding taxpayers that will fail. Repeat: the state this time will let Jerry threaten to move. If he wants to move, fine. He'll be moving hopefully a 120 loss team so his Sox will live in infamy. This organization truly has hit rock bottom or will when loss No 120 comes. Please Jerry move to Nashville. Hopefully the commish will give the Sox an expansion franchise.

That airplane information is all I need to know. A good organization would have a traveling secretary or asst. GM type call around and find out who is flying what. And a good organization would make sure the Sox travel was as good as any other team, not some old crap plane. I know the guys get paid a lot but I keep hearing how valuable the Sox franchise is. How dumb am I? The Royals problem I figured out after forgetting is they stopped playing the Sox. Every time they played the Sox they rolled and brought their season back on track. What about a month ago the teams were finished playing. And predictably the Royals after getting back on track vs Chicago went in the tank. Royals always stay hot maybe 5 days after mopping up the Sox then start to play/pitch lousy. Hilarious.

Sox and other teams need scouts who can accurately figure out if a college kid's skills at the plate translate to hitting MLB sliders and fastballs. Or if a guy will be completely overmatched. Since the goal of all hitters seems to be HR or K, analyze whether they got the HR potential or not with the wooden bats.

This is going to turn out funny remember you heard it here first. Sox are playing some very bad teams and are gonna finish on an incredibly positive note. Sizemore keeps the job for sure and we try to ride this pitching staff and the resurgent Vaughn/Beni to contention. What really will happen will be not a 35 or 42 win season but prolly 49-50 wins next year.

Vaughn is hitting .246, 17 HRs and 64 RBI. Coincidentally Jake Burger is hitting .244 with 25 homers and 62 RBI. Are they the same player? Sox could have used Burger's 25 homers this year to go to AV's 17. I think Vaughn still may get another year with another team. We know Burger's not done yet.

Not sure how you can say this. With Crochet gone, the starting rotation has to be the worst in the league.Who is out there that's gonna get people out over five innings. And the bullpen remains a huge problem. Including primary closer if we even need a closer.

Eloy, one of the main pieces of the tank job, is 1 hit in his last 18 at bats. Over 15 games he's 7 for 44 with one RBI, lol. What a bust.

But when you trade all your 'good' players it doesn't help anything. So you trade Crochet and once again (combined with trading guys like Cease) your pitching staff not only will be bad next year but 40-victory bad. If you trade your only 'good' players because they won't be with the team when it's good again, the problem is the team will never be good again. I want a re-do back to the Sale years. Don't trade him, try to improve like a normal team does. It's much better than the trade anybody with a pulse strategy where you acquire prospects who most often don't work out. If you get a good to great player or pitcher keep him. I don't know why all Sox fans can't see this. (A separate discussion is whether Robert, Vaughn are even 'good' players much less difference makers; sure seems like Robert is all hype and Vaughn reeks).
