Do you feel China wishes to conquer the world?

I enjoy watching re-runs of The Office late at night after work. Am I dumb?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2013 -> 11:47 PM) Try to get the $15, settle for the $13 if you can't get it, and then leave them on the first chance you get while making it clear that you would still be there if they hadn't screwed you. Amen. Excellent advice. Bastards.

Good job, Shack. Big time in your life I'm sure.

I'm off this week. Any 2-3 movies I should go see? Not into artsy movies. Give me comedies and/or action.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 03:53 AM) One win to rule them all. Hopefully Toews isn't concussed or you can kiss any chance of him playing in Game 6 good-bye. He has to have concussion symptoms or he'd have played in the third, right? Maybe we should try to win Game 6 w/out him and have him ready for the huge Game 7. I'd like to win it in Boston, but if he's got to sit he's got to sit. Great victory. Nice to get the empty netter for an exclamation mark after sitting on the puck trying to run out the clock most of the third. Love Crawford. He's a stud! Kane for governor. -
Well, we're only 10 below .500 now. Still a nice win. Royals fans are pissed, though. After we let the Hosmer triple drop (WTF with him doing that stupid flap after his triple; what a joke) they couldn't get the run in. The Sox might not be in this position if a.) they had a catcher who could hit and block balls better. b.) they had a corner infielder with true power. c.) They had better defense in CF and had their heads in the game at all times. I'd add that we'd be better off w/out Dunn for mental reasons (when he's going bad he's so bad it deflates the fans at The Cell) but he does have 18 homers. No complaints about the pitching this season from me, none at all.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) What happened with DeAza and Rios in RCF today? Jesus, Alejandro's really pushing the patience of this organization. And yet, he's been a pretty solid RBI guy for them from the leadoff spot (well, the tallest midget) and at least made contact to get the SAC fly. Ventura did a decent job managing today...there's that. It looked like two guys who hate each other, who play for themselves refused to communicate and let it drop. The Royals announcer said he wouldn't put it all on DeAza because it looked like Rios didn't say a word calling for the ball. Obviously DeAza was a spastic in racing over there to begin with, and he has to take command as CF, but I get the feeling Rios isn't Mr. Communications either.

Good thing Robin didn't call for the bunt in the ninth (sac first; squeeze later) or we know the Sox wouldn't have pushed across the one run.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 10:13 PM) Well, it's a bit different than Heat fans giving up in an elimination game in the final minutes. This game doesn't mean anything. The Royals don't have the offense to threaten DET. Hilarious. Royals doing what we normally do against them. They are the favored team and can't beat us now. When we're the heavy favorites we can't beat them. It's called choking.
-
If the Royals do't pull this out, they are chumps. To lose 2 in a row to the Sox while trying to contend is ridiculous. Hope Addison has it again today.
-
I hope those fans in the expensive seats behind the plate are going to hit the buffet one more time and not leaving. Sports fans who leave games are idiots.
-
DeAza comes through? Holy s***. Surprised me.
-
Here comes the predictable DP.
-
Oh boy, here comes the bunt fiasco.
-
It's pretty obvious this is the game right here. Either score ... or lose.
-
Butler should feast this at bat. Quintana running out of gas on hot day. Butler a good hitter.
-
I wouldn't have the infield play in. Concede the damn run. This is not going to remain a close game today. We're not going to win, 2-1.
-
LOL at Tyler. AJ up in that situation woulda been much better.
-
If the Sox want to win this game, a clutch here would be very very important. First and third. But it won't be coming IMO.
-
Are these simply two bad teams going at it this weekend? Or are the Royals truly a "good team" now? If we hold on and win today I'd say the Royals remain a mental mess. They'd have dropped four in a row since the baserunning gaffe in Cleveland. The Sox are what the doctor ordered for Davis, who has been crap all year, a little better in June.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 04:31 AM) When you hear about the fans being worried what that actually means is the media is making a big deal out of it , hearing some backlash , then they turn around and blame the fans for being stupid when it was mostly them. In other words there is no controversy. They've been shooting that way all series. The Bruins have like 5 right handed shooters so on the forehand that's where its mostly going to go any way.Emery won't see a minute, he's been idle too long. The Bruins haven't found some secret weapon to trounce the Hawks and Crawford is not some schlub. Great great post. -
Guthrie looked awful ... which is nothing unusual, but we actually drew walks and pounded his pitches. Chen looked bad ... which is nothing unusual, but we actually hit him. WTF? Royals finding out it's not automatic beating the teams u are supposed to beat.

I see there was an article about fans being worried about Crawford and how he's on the hot seat entering Game Five. I think that's f***ing stupid of fans. The guy has one bad game in the playoffs after so many great games and some are doubting him and want him pulled? I will be one pissed off fan if he gets pulled. Crawford has been excellent. It's OK he had one bad game. I'd be pissed if I was him n heard the criticism. What do fans want??? Perfection? -
I wouldn't mind joining Hawk at this weekend's games if I could score free tickets and parking. No way I'm spending 75 bucks for a good seat to watch us lose. I would attend if I got free tix, free parking. I'd pay for my own concessions. That's what the Sox are worth to me right now.
