Reinsdorf keeps "failing" the White Sox...
What's sad is that they would probably make more money with a cardboard cutout of an owner than with JR at the helm.

I think @WhiteSox2023 shared this above, but I am also unable to close / hide ads on my Android on the bottom of the page, so I am now unable to insert quotes from other posters (the ad covers up the "quote post" button at the bottom)

I'd have more faith in Art Vandelay at this point.

Jake Burger trade
I sit in the box.... I feel shame.

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
Getz is filling the role of Hahn and Williams, so JR is REALLY happy.

Keys to the White Sox future with Paul Janish...
They leave, and they are replaced by the next batch of young, cheap players. You invest in the pipeline, and you get a constant churn of young, controllable talent.

Good thing we didn't lose a year and that Reinsdorf gave us what we deserved as a fanbase.

Reinsdorf keeps "failing" the White Sox...
If there's one thing I've learned in my Sox fandom, it's that I won't believe anything related to Reinsdorf until it finally happens.

I think hiring the wrong people, then stepping in and overruling the people he hires (like the TLR hiring) are a pretty big cause for there being a bad front office.

Thorpe update...
How old? Early specialization is a huge problem, or at least it was up through like 5 years ago when I was still paying close attention to youth sports. I know USA Hockey and the USOC are actively trying to address it.

Boyer: 2025 Ticket Prices down 10% on average, Schriffen and Stone expected back
I'm less worried about the 2025 MLB payroll and more worried about: 1. Analytics budget 2. Player development budget ...not that we'd really get to see that, but the MLB goals for 2025 should be: 1. If lower-ceiling players (the Sosas of the world) are close to ready, give them playing time and development opportunities at the MLB level. 2. Fill the other positions with intelligent flippable-reclamation-project signings. Guys like Flexen, etc., who can come cheap, but this time, focus on players that the analytics and player development staff identify as "we can fix that" guys. If they aren't working out, dump 'em early and move onto the next guy. If they somehow work out, flip 'em for AA / AAA prospects. 2025 will be painful regardless at the MLB level, so you might as well focus on building up assets to have some hope of a core to emerge in 2026. So, in summary, we're all doomed.

Beckham hints Pedro too overbearing
I didn’t get that impression so much, but I agree that people understate how big of an impact a coach can have on younger players’ psyches. I still assert that Ricky was let go too early.

Beckham hints Pedro too overbearing
It’s more of a coping mechanism through sarcasm and cynicism in some cases, lime suggesting that we’d trade our #1 starter for KC’s former GM.

Shut Out Counter
Glad to hear you’re ok

Knowing JR, it would be Dayton Moore.

Sox vs Astros 8/18/24 GDT
…that’s either: a) a positive thing Or b) a REALLY bad thing.

JR will probably trade Crochet for him.

Sox vs Astros 8/18/24 GDT
Hearing the Schriffen call on the Fletcher home run grab, he is clearly an outstanding player.

8/17 Sox @ Stros 6:10PM
To be fair, earlier in the year you / Whitesox2023 / ss2k5 were about 75% of the forum’s posts. As an amused spectator, kind of hard to forget.

What are his stats with and without Moldy in the lineup?

Burnout or tuneout

MLB considering 6IP minimum for starters
So you're saying that starting pitchers in the future will be indistinguishable from one another, and that no pitchers will be judged as being outstanding compared to his peers of his era? And why do closers get to go in the Hall? Saves didn't really become a valued stat until the 80's. Until then, you only got save opportunities because you weren't considered good enough to start. We should probably stick to that metric for safe measure.
