This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
Well... what's he supposed to say?

...obviously my above post is an oversimplification, but my key point is this: Jake Burger playing 2B should be considered a "break glass in case of emergency because the actual emergency backup 2Bman got stuck in traffic on the way to the ballpark from the airport where his plane from Charlotte just landed, and Dylan Cease is on the mound so he can't play the field so you're it, Jake" option.

I've always been under the impression that you have your best infielder at SS, then your second best at 2B. At 3B you just need to have good hands / a quick first jump (but not necessarily as much range as 2B / SS) and a strong arm. At 1B you need a good bat.

Where did this idea that 2B is easier come from?

The Pedro Hire
I don't think anyone is arguing against the fact that Herm Schneider played a key role in the health of the players.

White Sox Trade
If we can find takers, I'd dump Diekman in a heartbeat. "Hey - looking for a bullpen arm who can make any game an 8-inning game? Yeah - bring this guy, and BOOM. Game over"

Phillies at White Sox GM 3 Serieswinner of Doom (Clevinger vs. Walker)
I’ll call that a “running streak.”

Have we won 2 in a row yet?

The Pedro Hire
I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Quentin is not viewed as being made of glass…. Or at least that is how I am interpreting it.

The Pedro Hire
I have to laugh at Quentin being on this list.

To me the biggest issue is player development. no organization is going to develop perfect players, but they can develop players who will consistently fit into their big league roster and be serviceable. this organization seems to just draft talent and hope it all works out after a few minor league seasons. Players are consistently coming up with the same defects they were drafted with. Yeah, they’re professionals and ultimately responsible for their own development, but if other organizations have a conprehensive strategy (like Cleveland, Minnesota, Tampa, etc.), you end up making the most of your league-minimum players.

STOP F-ING WALKING GUYS
Interesting. Almost like the players were trained behave a certain way while learning how to play professional baseball.

STOP F-ING WALKING GUYS
Does the 3 batter minimum count if your team straight up releases the pitcher after facing 1 batter? Or does that transaction have to wait until the pitcher is out of the game?

Moncada actually dealing with a back issue.
...and remember he's also just in it for the money since he signed his big contract. I need to keep track of these.

Ghost Runner Rule
Not gonna lie - in 2020 I was hoping for a walk-off 2-run home run to lead off the bottom of the 8th inning. Now I'd settle for that in the 10th. I'm pretty "meh" on the extra innings runner rule. I could see an argument to be made for waiting until the 12th inning to do it, for example, but overall, "meh."

Middleton Called Up
See: my response above. On a comedic level, it would be fun to see league-sanctioned 1 on 1's like in hockey (note: I'm actually a proponent of banning fighting in hockey). Just imagine something like Oneil Cruz vs. Lance Lynn, with someone like Joe West trying to break it up.

Middleton Called Up
This, plus a "third man in" rule. I'm guessing that, for example, if it's just a batter vs. pitcher, the batter ends up potentially with the catcher + the full infield to deal with in close proximity. If you have a "third man in" type of rule, you remove the need to "support" anyone. Not sure how you do it without officially sanctioning fighting, but I basically agree with you. It's beyond ridiculous to have the bullpens and benches empty every f'ing time.
