welcome aboard Jim and good luck on this season.
-
I will be there on Saturday, around 11 or so. I'll probably be wearing a black sox jersey and a black leather jacket. I'm about 5'4, 130, with glasses and short hair. I'll be there with a couple friends who are pretty big in size. One is a mexican kid who is like 300 lb, so I guess it would be easier for you guys to find him in order to find me, lol

Me and Jeff are thinking on either Saturday, around 2-3, after soxfest or right after Jason and Gary go on. OR Sunday, around 2. Would anybody prefer one day and/or time over another?
-
oops, sorry jas. didn't know you wrote the report.
-
from my knowledge, Daubach is a streaky hitter, but very clutch. He's a also considered a clubhouse guy, he was well liked in Boston amongst his teammates and fans.
-
I don't mean down as in injured. I was just saying as a backup, it would be Valentin or Jimenez, probably Valentin.
-
The Sox will likely carry 5 bench players, unless neither Rauch or Loaiza play good in ST to where they will need a seventh reliever. The five bench players will be: OF-Rios 1B/OF-Daubach C-Alomar 2B/CF-Harris INF-Graffanino/Hummel/Miles/Nunez Graffanino would have the edge if he was healthy, so I would have to give the edge to Miles. As far as third base. If Crede goes down, Valentin or Jimenez will take his spot. I'm pretty sure Hummell has played some third before too.

sorry for the late report, guys. http://www.soxnet.net/snreport/398-1.27.html

agreed Cubkilla, I see us winning about 89-91, 95 tops.

I have to apoligize to everyone who listened to the show today. I had problems with the broadcaster in the begining, which caused me to zone out for the entire damn show, thus making the show terrible. hopefully I'll get adjusted to it and we can settled in to all this. first trial run was good, this one was bad. We'll be going back on either saturday or next week some time.
-
sorry for anyone who was listening who happend to have been booted off. we don't have a playlist so we used it off the server. sorry bout that, Mario

the guy approach us, via email. jason sent him his number so he called him. I sent him my number, but it was after he already talk to jas. oh well, at least SoxNet was pubbed.

Sierra? Vanderwal? Mondesi? c'mon now, for center?

the strike hurt teh sox as well as other teams. as far as the neighborhood, I live there so I know what you are saying HSC. the neighborhood isn't bad and hasn't been bad, I was just talking about the entertainment of it. Comiskey is in a residential area, which makes it a ballgame only area. watch the game and leave. that is what hurts them as well.

well, the reason, according to the "fans" is because JR never spends money and can't run an organization. However, when we continue to get 15,000 despite them trading for a premiere pitcher in the game, I don't think people can make that excuse, however I still believe Sox fans will. The other reason is the park, many believe it is ugly and the neighborhood around it is boring. And of course 60% of attendance are from the casual fans. There aren't enough die hard fans to fill a Comiskey. However, the Sox haven't put out a bad enough team to get the attendance they have gotten. Even if their teams have only been good on paper, that should've always been good enough to get fans to the park in the early going. we won 95 games in 2000, second home game at comiskey park in 2001, how many we get? about 20,000 or so. Fans won't go unless JR spends money (or in some cases, sells the team) and JR won't spend unless fans come out. who is right? I don't know, but I do know is when a team that is on the field has talent and is capable of winning, fans should go out and support them, something Sox fans really don't like doing.

Jason will be away for another week or so. He was pretty happy to leave, he was growing tired of the computer. amazingly, the board is still running without him. let's just hope nothing goes wrong over here on the boards.

damn it, I guess we can't do the moderator of the year award
-
hold on there Kruz, you would bat Cruz behind Ordonez and ahead of Konerko? Cruz would be at the bottom of our order, 7 tops. he isn't that great a player, if even that good.
-
After all these year's, we are finally getting some respect. Jason is gonna love seeing his name and the site on ESPN when he gets back. He did a really good interview with the guy. I might have to promote him and make him the site's PR Director.
-
wow, I didn't expect it out so soon. great to see though.

going on Saturday. I'll probably be their early, but it all depends what time I wake up. I really don't go for autographs, not really crazy about that stuff. Did you guys set up a special meeting spot?
-
I just bought tickets to SoxFest on Saturday. Is anyone here going to be there? I'm sorry if you guys already mentioned this, I'm a little slow.
-
I get sent emails too, but I'm not a season ticket holder.

I was thinking the same hing yesterday. Just imagine if we were to go far enough and knock them off. They did the trade to keep him from the Red Sox, not looking at us as a threat. However, any team would rather have a guy like Colon go outside their division then inside. It would be funny though.
