  1. Jake Locker's coming back for his senior season. Probably not too many other juniors in a position like he is in are gonna be making that decision this year.
  2. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 05:43 PM) They still suck. I wonder what the Angels are thinking though. Their ace is going to their playoff arch rival. Ok. Or not.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 12:57 PM) Like the opportunity for heath care? Nope.
  4. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) They Keep Coming... Is this #12 now?
  5. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 02:30 AM) Yah. I kinda saw it coming, but still yah, wow. I really didn't see it coming until I heard the baby cry. But like everyone else said, just wow.
  6. Jason Whitlock is a racist, sexist, pompous, self-serving moron. He is easily one of the worst sports columnists employed by a major sports news agency. I don't know why I continue to read him because he just pisses me off every time.
  7. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 10:48 AM) It's pretty crazy the hype he's getting right now. He's all over ESPN's main page after a 25 point, 7 turnovers, 2 assists, 1 rebound game. He plays very well at the end of games, but goodness, 14 turnovers by yourself in two games is absurd. Where is the hype for Greg Monroe at Georgetown? Monroe is 3 months younger than Wall and is putting up big numbers. Because he's flashy and plays point guard at Kentucky. In all seriousness though, I was just awed by him last night. Did he make mistakes? Yes. Did he play recklessly at times? Yes. Too many turnovers? Yes. But he's a freshmen, it's to be expected. But he was all over Kemba defensively, made a couple great reads to intercept passes, he seems to always be around the ball on the defensive side, is ridiculously explosive, can finish at the net despite contact and traffic, and made a few big contested jump shots at the end of the game. On the winning basket he just blew by the quickest guard in the country not named Kalin Lucas and one of the most athletic players in the nation in Stanley Robinson. There's not a doubt in my mind he could play in the NBA right now and be an impact player. Maybe not on a good NBA team, but on one who wasnt aiming to compete and could just develop him he could IMO.
  8. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 12:09 AM) Joyner and Luc have both committed this week. I find it interesting that since Bobby retired we have gotten 6 commitments. Hopefully we can switch one who is currently committed to UF. Excellent news. We needed a big recruiting class this year and with the addition of those two it makes FSU the #9 ranked class in 2010. There's also been a few early commits in 2011 so hopefully the program can rebound in the coming years.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 10:33 AM) He has missed a ton of time to injury. Played half a season in Kanny in 2008, and missed all of 2009. He'll turn 22 in 2010, in A Ball. He's got a steep ladder to climb at this point. But wasn't that all due to the same injury? I just thought by performing how he was before getting hurt at that age was a very good sign. He has a very projectable frame as well.
  10. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 10:32 AM) Wall is averaging almost 5 turnovers a game, yet nobody seems to want to acknowledge it in the media. Strange. Patrick Patterson should be the one getting the love on the team, I bet he has to be frustrated. Hitler, er uh, Calipari seems to have won the media over. Well Vitale and Schulman did bring that up several times during the telecast yesterday actually. They mentioned that was the area of the game he needed to work on. That sometimes he needs to try and not do so much and better learn to manage the pace of the game.
  11. So Jose Martinez has fallen so far he doesn't even appear in the mentions at the end anymore?
  12. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 02:28 AM) UK/UConn was something else tonight. John Wall showing out in MSG. Yeah great game. UConn blew it at the end there with a couple of turnovers. They really need a shooter (Majok) to emerge. But wow, the three guards, Wall/Walker/Dyson put on a show.
  13. Big game tonight between UConn and Kentucky. The guard matchups in this one are gonna be ridiculous. God i wish Ater Majok was eligible for this though. I have a bad feeling UConn's gonna slouch on the boards again.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) If it makes you feel better, my fiancee took 1.5 hours to make a 25 minute commute to work. A friend took 3 hours to make a .5 hour commute. I think you should enjoy your time indoors. it took me an hour and a half to make a usually 35-40 minute commute
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 11:05 AM) I just find the rules on this site to be confusing. Replace Harry Reid in the statement he made with a Sox player, a member of this site, a religious figure, etc and most people would get banned in here. Different rules for Admins? The "It's my house and the rules don't apply to me" attitude don't sit well with me. Well the Sox players and administration are off limits because there are people in the organization who read this board and it makes sense that Jason and others would want to keep statements like that off of here. Attacks towards each other leads to degradation of the board. Attacks towards political figures, world leaders, etc have never really been off limits, nor should they. If I called Kim Jong Il a piece of s*** I shouldnt have to be worried about being banned for it, IMO.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 11:03 AM) Carl Crawford isn't a good return for a guy who we have no idea can stay healthy? It's not that simple though. Crawford is going to become real expensive real quick, while Carlos will be cheaper and under our control longer and has the higher upside. I don't feel this is a good unless the Sox are almost positive CQ will never be able to stay healthy.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 11:00 AM) Yeah. It's an almost everyday occurrence where I throw a bunch of obscenities at people on this forum. Thanks for keeping track for me. I was gonna delete that but whatever. When did Kap direct anything towards you? He didnt. You and others say essentially the same s*** about Palin, GWB others all the time. Who the hell cares that Kap used a naughty word (OMG!). That was the only difference. Get over it.
  18. I hate it when people say something is a moot point but when they say it it comes out as a "mute" point. It's hard for me not to shake my head or laugh.
  19. Toronto loss because they let Ford tie his shoe
  20. The Yankees got a steal here. Austin Jackson wasn't in their plans, Coke can be easily replaced, and Kennedy is crap. This sucks. At least the Tiggers got worse in 2010 though.
  21. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Dec 8, 2009 -> 01:33 PM) It's weird because the money is reasonable, and I'm no bigtime Nix-supporter. But then when the Sox cry poor in 2010 free agency I'm going to wonder why this was done when you can just plug a backup-type in at 3b. I dont want to do that, but I do if it means it's the only way we can later afford Boras clients (or guys of that level). Seriously? You do realize he would have gotten a virtually identical amount, and possibly more, in arbitration anyways right?

    Vegas

Pure is a good club. A friend of mine worked there for a few years. Cathouse in the Luxor isn't bad either, I went there when we went last November. For $300 you can get a table, a bottle, champagne and a waitress in the private area upstairs. MGM usually has some pretty good shows. Definitely look into that before you go. You can often get cheaper tickets from vendors on the street. They're cheaper but since they are last minute sales they don't even know what they'll have available until the day of. Also, Planet Hollywood has a champagne brunch every day. It's like $20-ish and it costs 3 or 4 more to add champagne but when we went we stayed for like 3 hours cuz we kept getting champagne served to us.
  23. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 7, 2009 -> 04:02 PM) As you like to tell others, don't read the thread. Kinda hard when every thread ends up turning into the same thing...
  24. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Dec 7, 2009 -> 03:42 PM) Ugh I hope KW acts sooner rather than later. Seeing people constantly complaining about the OF ad nauseum on December 7th is getting ridiculous. Fixed.
