QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 04:33 PM) I don't know about that. Granted, they aren't very large, but you can clearly see they have points to them, just like the Anubis does. Yes but when depicted, Anubis's ears are always very pronounced. There is never any ambiguity.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 04:00 PM) The reason I am not really on the Anubis train is that the statute didnt not have prominent ears. Ya it definitely does not look like Anubis. It's tough because many Egyptian gods are depicted with some sort of headdress and its hard to picture what that might look like from the front. From the back it's hard to point it out as any one in particular but it does appear that the statue is of a male figure/deity

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 01:07 PM) I am thinking about buying MLB.tv and playing it through my PS3 browser. Anybody have any good or bad luck with this? Test it first. I've tried playing certain streaming videos through my PS3 and it doesnt work (from ahllive.com for example). Going to hulu or youtube works so I guess it depends on what kind of video it is. Make sure it works before buying the whole season.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 11:53 AM) I sent out an e-mail containing my previous post to a group of my fellow LOST fanatic friends, and one of them pointed this out to me: Ancient Egypt is just so fascinating. I've never heard of that picture which you posted. A few summers ago I did some studying of egyptian hieroglyphs (I had just graduated and had no job so I was bored) and nothing in that picture looks like anything symbol I've seen. There has to be a connection of sorts with Egypt in Lost as more and more things keep popping up. I'm still not sure about it having to do with an afterlife though. As for the episode, I really enjoyed it. I wasnt that much of a fan of the Sawyer-Juliet stuff but it was interesting to see how it played out. The last seen literally gave me goosebumps.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 11:39 AM) Love the responses so far. Well it's either this, or go to Atlantic City on Saturday Night. Since the Bus was only $10 return for NY to Baltimore, I can easily go to AC instead. Ya i was just in AC a couple weekends ago. AC >>>>>>> Baltimore

The Ok St / K-State game was fun to watch....how tall is Keaton Page? espn.com lists him as 5-10 which absolutely can not be true...i'd say somewhere closer to 5-7 is probably right. -
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) My first impression of MLB 09? Do they only have 1 picture of Dustin Pedroia? Could they not afford to buy a second shot? You know that follow through shot on the cover? It appears 5 times on the case and in the booklet, that just struck me as weird and kind of lazy. Thats kinda been the case with most sports games recently I've seen

This isnt funny at all and it is definitely wrong. And, I would never do this. But come on, using words like 'barbaric' and torturous'? GMAB

Was the 2008 NBA Draft rigged to favor Chicago?

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 12:35 PM) I think this'll be better to ask if the Oklahoma City Thunder end up with the #1 choice so that they can draft Blake Griffin. That would not surprise me at all since Stern and the Douchebag have been in cahoots with each other ever since he bought the Sonics. Stern will do everything in his power to justify that move so rigging it so the team that shall remain nameless receives the number 1 pick to go along with KD/Westbrook/Green would be right up his alley. -

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) more than half the Senate has no idea what they vote for I watched Religulous this past weekend. In Maher's interview with an Arkansas (?) senator, the senator said "Well, you don't have to pass an IQ test to be in the senate". Seriously. -
Not for Spring Break but for this summer i'm debating whether to go on a cruise from Baltimore to the Bahamas or go to Costa Rica where my friends boss told him he could crash at his condo down there whenever he wanted if he (his boss) wasnt there. Costa Rica kind of sketches me out a little bit tough.

QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 11:45 AM) A recent Ken Rosenthal article about MLB amending rules to allow "sign and trade" type deals. Interesting, I hadnt heard about that. I read this whole thread thinking the discussion was pointless haha

Isnt a sign and trade impossible in baseball due to all the contract rules and such?

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 10:34 PM) Just saw on the bottom line that Dominic James is out for the year for Marquette. I feel bad for James. Marquette is now realistically only an elite 8 team at best IMO. The UCONN-Marquette game last night was a dandy still though. -
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 04:34 PM) Eider Torres Who? And who is Kruger?
-
Just noticed Lexi had a SB earlier which is nice to see. He only had 13 last year but for someone with his speed who we're expecting to get on a bunch, I'd really like to see him around the 20-25 range this season

QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Feb 24, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) There will be no No.1 seeds from the Big XII, I am fairly certain of that. The winner of the BIG XII will deserve and probably get a 2 seed. If there is a upset in the 2nd round of the Big XII tourney is the only way I forsee downward seedings... most of this is not rocket science, especially with the higher seeds. Not worried for Kansas beating Mizzou... it's never fun to be a Tiger in the Fieldhouse. So since according to you Oklahoma will not be a #1 seed, who is the 4th No.1? UCONN, UNC, Pitt and who? I can't think of any other team in the country besides OU with a legit argument for that spot right now?
