QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 02:19 PM) a drink-off Meh, they'd both be done by 10. One due to bedtime and the other due to passing out from low tolerance.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 03:08 PM) Can't win what? The NC? I might agree with that. But they can more than hold it down if he has to miss some time. The NC. Maybe even the BET too. The Huskies did so well against L'Ville b/c they ran through their press with their 3 guards. They'll also need him on 'D' against the guards of Marquette and 'Nova. With him they are a legit NC contender, without him they're more like an Elite 8 team IMO -
I think there should be a run-off between Tex and Heads

The Amber Room by Steve Berry. Historical fiction. I've read his last 4, all of which have the same main character and liked them. He didnt have any carry over characters in his first 3 books and this is the first one he wrote. It's harder for me to get into than the other 4 i mentioned so far.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 10:29 PM) I got it off Amazon Marketplace a few days ago for $40 w/ the headset, the box was opened but nothing was touched, couldn't pass up a deal like that. I've been playing it off and on for the past 24 hours (turns out, after taking a 3 or 4 year break from SOCOM I kind of suck) and I'm sure I'll be on there a fair amount until Killzone 2 ships. I've been going back to the same room every time, US Central 4 - 8v8 Elimination 2. All I want to do is play a simple game of Desert Glory Elimination but the servers are completely different from SOCOM II. I'll try to find you. It's definitely not Socom I/II but its good. I've actually been playing it more and more the past month as it's starting to grow on me. I also prefer the old maps. Playing elimination in the new maps (minus Kasbah) kinda sucks. I tend to play a lot of Respawn cuz of the sniping/camping in Urban Wasteland/Quarantine/Fallen being so rampant in ranked games.

Connecticut lost Dyson last night in the opening minutes. He did not return. Initially called a severe knee bruise with no structural damage. MRI today. Hopefully he can return quickly b/c UCONN probably can't win without him. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 10:02 PM) The reason they moved the first time was because Hartford sucks. Sadly, Hartford still sucks. The Whalers will be back in the NHL eventually. For a team to have the following they still have despite being gone for 10 years and never having been very good to begin with speaks a lot about them. I may be 10 years down the road, but I am confident the Whalers will one day be back in the NHL, especially with this arena the city is proposing to build for UCONN basketball. -

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 07:47 PM) I didn't mean unemployment rate...... btw- I dont like you because you make me mad with bad posts. Seriously, never reply to me ever again. Asking politely. There are several people here on both sides who frequently upset people on the "other" side with their posts. If everyone asked others to not "never reply to me ever again" b/c it upset them, this forum wouldnt exist. And, this is the republican thread, if something or someone bothers you in here then get out of it. There is a reason there are separate Dem and GOP threads here.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 11:19 AM) ugh, I'm pretty proud in saying I've never seen people dine and dash. Such an asshole thing to do. Senior year in HS our soccer team went out for breakfast before school the day of our homecoming game at Dennys. We were kinda loud and rowdy but there were hardly any people in there and we were polite to the waitress. However, one of the waitresses kept giving attitude to one of the tables and so when the food came the three people at that table just left. I was one of the last people to leave and initially we refused to pay for it since we werent the ones to do it but in the end myself and a few others picked up their bill. Apparently Dennys called our school because our coach found and those three got suspended for the game. And then we all had to run extra sprints in practice the next day so that was fun

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 11:58 AM) So, since Bush got the blame whenever any person or agency under him f***ed up, does Obama get the blame here? Or, once again, is it different? Of course it's different, he's our Savior.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) If he had 600k, what kept him from paying the power bill? Not only that, but he went grocery shopping on his own and his house looked kept up. Also, he had at least some communication with a couple nephews (dont know the frequency). That all points to there being a pretty good probability of him having enough of his senses to know that he cant go a year without paying his electric bill. But damn those people who dont let people get things for free. Murderers. -

Loved seeing Duke get exposed as a fraud last night. In order for Duke to play as an "elite" team this year they literally need everything to go perfectly. Duke will be lucky to make it into the sweet sixteen again -
I know its been mentioned in here before, but who here plays Socom Confrontation on any sort of regular basis?

Wow UConn looked great last night. Completely took it to L'Ville in their arena. Great adjustment to go to the 3 guard lineup. Stanley Robinson only played 2 minutes the entire game. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 08:44 AM) Okay, do a throwing motion for me. Even if your arm is coming forward, yet your hand is still behind your head, it's not a fumble. If your hand would be past your ear, then it's a fumble. If it's even with your head....then I don't know what the call would be. Except his arm was down and not around his head so that doesnt always work. Whether or not the arm is behind or in front of the QB's head is not written anywhere in the rule. It was probably a fumble, but it did appear that maybe his arm had started the forward movement when he got hit. At any rate, not reviewing that play was completely inappropriate. I wouldnt be surprised if the NFL didnt review it only because it was so close and they didnt want their replay system scrutinized. The officiating is NOT why the Cardinals lost. That being said, it was attrocious. The roughing the passer was bulls***, there were two non-calls on what were probably intentional grounding on Roethlisberger, there was a potential clip on Hightower on the Harrison run back, the running into the holder was iffy, and the hold on Ward was iffy. Also, is there still the halo rule for punt returns? I dont remember if they removed it or not but if they didnt it should have been called in the 4th. And Harrison is a dumbass and is lucky he wasnt tossed. That was almost a punch -
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) PSN: jtamay3 MLB2k9 > MLB 09 I love the pitching in the game. Makes it very realistic. Guys will actually tire and therefore will become less effective as they miss their spots. And sucky pitchers in general will be very hard pressed to pitch a great game. Fail...and what you say about pitching I found to be true in MLB 08
