I was up on the north side over the holidays for the first time in a long time. The area around Wrigley Field is unrecognozable - new bars, restaurants, hotels. It's a whole experience that generates revenue for the team and businesses. Thats the future of baseball. The people who live in Armour Square don't want any of that. They want an island stadium surrounded by parking lots. You go to the game and go home. This place would be more than that and could be something really beneficial to the Sox and the fans. There is public transportation right there. And 90/94 is just west on Roosevelt (and you can always stop by Jim's Original). If this is feasible it's really a no brainer.

This is a blank canvas and there are so many awesome options. A stadium that overlooks the skyline! They could really build something special. However, they need to have a plan for traffic because Roosevelt can be a real clusterf*ck between State and all the way past Canal.

The fact that you are this upset about a puff piece about Vizquel is kind if weird. Not as weird as having an autistic bat boy scrub your back in the locker room or the guy who keeps writing about his underage niece but still kind of weird.

Nobody is saying that. But if Vizquel was not exposed he would be working in MLB in some capacity. Based on the article, that is what he wants to do. And it also appears that he has been completely ostracized.

Vizquel has been banished from baseball (rightly so) and this is an attempt to feel the waters as to a possible return which would be worth millions. It aint going to happen.
