Let’s see how his next outing goes. I guess we would need to know whose decision it was to get him back tonight, his or management’s. If anything he could have thrown the ninth or waited until tomorrow. Who knows if there is a best way to handle him as he gets back. It makes me wonder if the walks are up significantly this year. People will still attend and JR‘s theory is coming true. Thank you counselor, I think we can rest the case with this one. Is this from Baseball Reference? You’re quick and effective with this stuff.

Oh really? From many posts it sounds like people want a change. Not sure how many of you spend money on this team but cutting spending would be a better way than ripping Hahn, JR and Grifol over and over in repackaged new ways. Maybe not watching or following the team makes sense. Doing something is better than writing the same analytical or short posts over and over about the same cast of characters.

Does it matter if the offense can’t hit?

Not yet, but it sounds like I was up to him as to when he wanted to come back. He will have to face major league hitters eventually. I am sure he is better being up here than spending more time in Charlotte. But I’m just a fan and not a scout like some claim to be.

Yaz’s throw was absolute crap, that didn’t help things.

If he didn’t give up any runs and was his usual self, would you both be complaining about Hahn rushing Hendriks back?

So then we are going to see more of the same continuous bitching and analysis by the same posters? I’ve asked before, but if Hahn doesn’t get canned and nothing changes, will we see more of the same tired analysis? Yikes, there’s got to be a better way to show displeasure that has an actual impact than writing short analytical articles.

I wish more posters here would admit that what you said is what they want to see. Some people have gotten to this point, others I have heard from (not necessarily from this board) are reconsidering their fandom (lifelong passionate White Sox fans, not fair weather fans) and others see the malaise but are willing to let things out and see what moves are made. As the years go on, JR will eventually pass and moves will be made, although my fear is the new owner will move the team out of Chicago to another state and we will get a new front office but the team will be elsewhere.

I’m not enjoying it. If Hendriks was on the team to start the year they would have won a few more games. Obviously he wasn’t. I didn’t see the whole game today but at a certain point I blame the players for not executing. I didn’t like TLR for his character and wanted Hinch instead. People can criticize Grifol but he’s not the one playing the games. Hope that all of you who watch and are okay with losing will be fine with a retool since a rebuild probably wouldn’t happen.

Bernstein and Holmes talk quite a bit of White Sox baseball. I haven’t listened to ESPN Radio 1000 in a long time but Kap, Jurko, Waddle and Silvy are who I would want to listen to.

Fair enough, but the discussion level is raised when we can discuss why it’s possible to be optimistic with balancing that versus pessimism in the same post. It’s better to read that than this player or this executive sucks over and over again.

What if additional spending is not authorized and this is the team they have to compete with? What if Romy and Frazier man the positions you mention and succeed at them for the rest of the year? Lets worry about next year in the offseason.

Good take. I also think injuries have hurt this team and that a rebuild isn’t what they need. More talent in the minors? Absolutely, but not at the expense of the major league roster talent. The question I think ST posters need to ask themselves is, on May 23, or by the end of the month, are you in, or are you out? As in, will they contend for the division and you believe they can do it, or I want this team to burn, they have no chance and I have no hope. I’m in the optimistic camp they can do this camp despite all of their faults and flaws. A little optimistic realism never hurt anyone and is a hell of a lot better than the negativity displayed by many on this board.

They can all come back on board, the water is fine.
