5/31/2023 - Angels @ Sox (retroactive gamethread)
I dare one of you to call into the postgame show on AM 1000 and rip Hahn, Grifol or JR.

Graveman’s first strike to the last batter was a gift lol

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
Again, because someone mentioned this in another thread, I’m not suggesting the site be closed down. I guess I’m one of the few who doesn’t like things being rehashed and repackaged over and over again. 5 games under? That could work, but there still would be negative comments. Follow the draft and consider the moves they should make at the deadline if they were to retool. That is usually fun.

So what better to b**** about the FO and owner some more? ?

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
That was a sarcastic response to the usual doom and gloom I read about Hahn, JR, the front office or the players. I understand the frustration but the same re-packaged analysis about the same people and things is old news after a while. It’s wasted energy until we see what they do at the deadline since these Hahn getting fired in season fantasies aren’t happening.

Cool, I’m glad you gave it up.

Hahn getting fired mid season just doesn’t seem likely. The bolded is right though. Constantly dogging it to first and not consistently hitting. A barren farm system always hurt, but Williams did field competitive teams as well as find some gems.

Who said anything about closing Soxtalk? My guess is he doesn’t read anything we post and if he did, I doubt he would care since he still has the title of GM.

Let’s see how his next outing goes. I guess we would need to know whose decision it was to get him back tonight, his or management’s. If anything he could have thrown the ninth or waited until tomorrow. Who knows if there is a best way to handle him as he gets back. It makes me wonder if the walks are up significantly this year. People will still attend and JR‘s theory is coming true. Thank you counselor, I think we can rest the case with this one. Is this from Baseball Reference? You’re quick and effective with this stuff.

Oh really? From many posts it sounds like people want a change. Not sure how many of you spend money on this team but cutting spending would be a better way than ripping Hahn, JR and Grifol over and over in repackaged new ways. Maybe not watching or following the team makes sense. Doing something is better than writing the same analytical or short posts over and over about the same cast of characters.

Does it matter if the offense can’t hit?

Not yet, but it sounds like I was up to him as to when he wanted to come back. He will have to face major league hitters eventually. I am sure he is better being up here than spending more time in Charlotte. But I’m just a fan and not a scout like some claim to be.

Yaz’s throw was absolute crap, that didn’t help things.

If he didn’t give up any runs and was his usual self, would you both be complaining about Hahn rushing Hendriks back?

I’m hoping he’s got some rust on him coming back and he will be better with time.

2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
Doesn’t the reverse standings dictate how the draft order goes? I’m not a nerd of all things draft like I am in the NFL.

Yes, more of the same.

When others quote the same analysis and discuss it’s probably best not to ignore.

So then we are going to see more of the same continuous bitching and analysis by the same posters? I’ve asked before, but if Hahn doesn’t get canned and nothing changes, will we see more of the same tired analysis? Yikes, there’s got to be a better way to show displeasure that has an actual impact than writing short analytical articles.

What does? Let’s hear from the f*** this team, I just want to b**** and b**** crowd some more.

2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
Does it make sense to cheer for the number three pick in the draft behind Oakland and KC?

2023 Memorial Day - White Sox State of the Union
I wish more posters here would admit that what you said is what they want to see. Some people have gotten to this point, others I have heard from (not necessarily from this board) are reconsidering their fandom (lifelong passionate White Sox fans, not fair weather fans) and others see the malaise but are willing to let things out and see what moves are made. As the years go on, JR will eventually pass and moves will be made, although my fear is the new owner will move the team out of Chicago to another state and we will get a new front office but the team will be elsewhere.

Sox @ Tigers 12:40
I’m not enjoying it. If Hendriks was on the team to start the year they would have won a few more games. Obviously he wasn’t. I didn’t see the whole game today but at a certain point I blame the players for not executing. I didn’t like TLR for his character and wanted Hinch instead. People can criticize Grifol but he’s not the one playing the games. Hope that all of you who watch and are okay with losing will be fine with a retool since a rebuild probably wouldn’t happen.
