You mention he doesn’t give a crap about the little guy and gal. What do you call the stimulus checks, the vaccines for the insured and uninsured, the unemployment checks and the child tax credit? If you follow what is going on with congress, you would know that he is unable to get the extension of the child tax credit, the prescription drug negotiations and parts of his economic agenda that Sinema and Manchin support through congress. Provisions that help the climate, reduce the deficit and are economically beneficial can’t get passed without those two senators. As for the huffing and puffing, the only evidence of that is when he told Doucey he was a jackass for his question on inflation and when he talked about the MAGA support which is not his base. We can debate whether or not he should be doing it but the fact is that he needs more support to get things passed. Let’s get those facts straight for the sake of discussion.

But can one man or one administration truly control all of that? Did one piece of spending legislation cause all of that?

It has to be the upfront cost of a charger and a vehicle and how they believe it would be too costly of a transition from their gas powered car to an electric car. Some people probably think electric cars can’t replicate what the larger cars can offer.

Right, but would the Keystone XL pipeline have solved the gas prices (that is the only argument I have heard to support that it’s one man’s fault)? I could understand expanding offshore drilling or trying something with fracking, but my point is that one man can’t control a war in Ukraine, get companies to increase production or get other countries to increase theirs (although it looks kind of like they will try).

National outrage is coming in November. Even if people were pissed to the point where they protested or got violent, there isn’t much that can be done about the gas prices. One man cannot fix it.

Yes! I use it when I go shopping at Mariano’s and need to fill up every few weeks. If you shop and fill up monthly, you seem to be able to decide how much to use, so maybe you use less and spread that over a longer period of time. Getting $0.60-$0.90 off a gallon is great! I hope you’re using coupons when you shop there, they even have triple the loyalty points if you shop with a delivery or pickup order or buy certain products.

I can’t trust this team to even go on the winning streak it needs to get over .500 and get close to the Twins. That should be the goal right now, because continuing down the road of playing around .500 is not going to get it done.

Did any one capture the stat rankings from this year compared to last? It was a graphic in the Fox broadcast that was powerful.

No. Because we have a dumb manager who should not be managing modern baseball games, doesn’t use analytics and probably thinks his nine hole move is innovative. We have guys on the team who are a revolving door of being out, like Moncada, Robert, Jimenez and most recently Kelly. The front office has brought in players who haven’t consistently performed or done anything at all, like Harrison, Keuchel and Grandal. The offense can’t score runs, the starting pitching has to be perfect to win, struggle to get deep into games and the defense has been bad. The rest of the league got better and adapted to the level of competition, our team got worse and is failing. No, they will not make the playoffs this year.
