  1. Because that would require actually doing some hard work or paying additional $ to hire someone to do the work for you. That is not the White Sox way.
  2. You nailed it. No more dumpster diving in the Royals trash bin. If you are going to dumspter dive at least park your cart outside the Astros or Dodgers back alley.
  3. Paulie is defintely a legend 100%. Still rock his jersey from time to time. Agree 100% on the child abuse and domestic abuse stuff. Not kosher in any way shape or form. But yeah most of these dudes are out getting some tail on the side. Anyone trying to pretend that Clevinger is some bad dude for sleeping around are not gonna be able to root for many professional athlethes. Clevinger is a bad dude cause he allegeldy abused his wife and kid not because he couldn't keep it in his pants.
  4. "free swingers" is 100% an apt description of the team last year. Anyone who says otherwise disn't watch this team play last year and probably thinks baseball is played on Excel spreadsheets.
  5. Damn. MLB players have one hell of a collective bargaining agreement. Would be awesome if most of the hard working Americans out there had union contracts even half as strong.
  6. It was pretty much doomed the second that JR let Hahn and company architect the rebuild. A total houseclean from top to bottom was needed then. Too late now.
  7. It would be very hard to put together a 25 man roster if dudes who cheated on their wifes or baby mama's were not allowed to play professional baseball.
  8. None of us know anything about their realtionship and what really happened. It does blow my mind that she is accusing him of tripping on acid every day though. Dude must be a superman to handle that. Back in college I would need a good 36 hours to recover from shrooms. Can't imagine taking acid on the daily and being a professional athlethe.
  9. The day I longer have to listen to this mealy mouth clown speak is going to be a glorius day. He should have been fired after the 2016 season but has somehow weaseled his way into a lifelong appointment as White Sox GM.
  10. Didn't work out. That should be the motto for the Sox front office and ownership group.
  11. Ha. I remember those days as well. Too bad the passing of time showed that the emperor had no clothes, and the FO plan to just try to copy the homework off the smart kids in class was bound to fail eventually. I fear that another tank job will be here again in the not too distant future unfortunately. It will be back to prospect hoarding and salivating over prospect lists again.
  12. For real. Hard to believe we are debating having pee wee Madrigal back on the South Side. Still pisses me off that they tanked the whole 2017 season just to use the pick on Madrigal. You never use a top 5 pick on a college player who can barely clear the fences during batting practice.
  13. And yet the Sox brillant FO decided to use the 11th pick in the draft on this dude. I get taking a high school arm at that slot but a college guy with innings buildup was a bad idea.
  14. The problem is that outside of Cease none of the "core" guys are elite at anything. Moncada is nowhere close to the "young Robinson Cano" that Sox nation was promised he would be 6 years ago. Luis Robert is nowhere close to the "latin Mike Trout" that some hyperbolic people said he would be. Eloy has shown some flashes at the damage he can do with the bat but he is also a clumsy tin man that is higly unlikely to ever put up a 5 WAR season.
  15. Straight trash that this brillant front office used a top 5 pick on lol. Epic fail there. You never ever use a top 5 pick on a college player who can barely clear the fence during BP.
  16. There are very minimal rewards in life if one never takes any risk. Any player can get hurt badly during the first 3 years of any big contract. Correa is still only 28. There is a good chance that this injurt doesn't truly hamper his play until he is well into his 30s.
  17. Ouch. This is a kick to the nuts for the Sox. Sox rebuild never stood a chance if JR wasn't going to pony up for any big time FA.
  18. Agree 100% KC has been an absolute dumpster fire the past 5 years.
  19. Hendricks isn't going anywhere. Sox need a legit closer if they hope to win anything significant this year.
  20. Denver is also having Condoleeza Rice do a total audit of the entire Broncos organization apparently. I'm sure that will go swimmingly. If the Sox flame out again next season can we blame TLR's presence at ST as the reason?
  21. The Sox are not similiar to Houston at all. One is not like the other. Bad prescription. Don't take the medicine.
  22. How about the Sox just keep Hendricks and sign Duvall and those other things? JR has the $$$.
  23. What do you mean by a haul? It is not fine to trade him if the return is just a bunch of "prospects" to build up the farm system.
  24. Music to my ears. Trading your closer after you just signed Benitendi makes no sense. No more retooling/rebuilding or talk of trading studs like Hendricks for "prospects". Those days are over. The time for Sox to win is now!
  25. That 7-8-9 in the lineup is no bueno. Lots and lots of pressure on Colas to come up and hit from day 1.
