  1. They Just blew it up and look what it got them. Tanking is not an option and will never work with Hahn as GM and Jerry as owner. They just need to go back to the hope they catch lighting in a bottle approach of 2000 to 2010.
  2. Trading Cease would be more comparable to the Sale trade. The Sale trade didn't return much for the Sox. Pass. Rather keep Cease.
  3. Been there. Done that. Don't need another Moncada and Kopech. Would rather watch Cease pitch every fifth day then see Hahn get fleeced in another trade.
  4. Dude has an OPS well below 500. He has been a massive massive bust.
  5. Move Lynn for what? Maybe trade him up to Milwaukee for some cheese curds, brats, and 12 pack of Spotted Cow if the Sox are lucky.
  6. He's part of the problem. Team doesn't look ready to play most days and the bad fundamentals from last year continue.
  7. Is this dude any good? I suppose he will be in the bullpen later this Summer and we will find out soon enough!
  8. The team you are describing sounds like a mediocre one. How do you see them turning this thing around? They play some big boy teams the rest of this month and are in danger of getting completely buried before May 1.
  9. Have you seen them haul someone up the stairs recently? I saw them do that pre-covid for sure, but the world has changed big time since then. The security officers who are ex cops or off duty cops don't mess around or at least that is how they used to roll. These low level Paul Blart's aren't gonna be stepping in no major scrum though.
  10. Ha. No way in hell do the Cubs win it all this year. It's a complete shame that they are already a better team than the Sox though. It seems like the Sox are entering another dark age while Cubs fans are begginng to see some light.
  11. These security guards make like $17 an hour. No way are they going to risk serious injury and get in the middle of a brawl like that.
  12. Team defense has been terrible again this year as well. Seems to be a theme under Rick Hahn's watch. The guy could care less about fileding a competent defensive team it seems. Also, this bullpen is a complete and total dumpster fire and I don't see how it gets better anytime soon. They are likely to be one of the worse Sox bullpens of all time. 80% of the bullpen is pretty much DFA worthy.
  13. The future is much much brighter on the North Side of town. The Cubs will win more games than the Sox this year and will spend $$ again this offseason to get better. They also have some legit dudes looming in their farm system. The Sox rebuild has been a massive massive failure. It is probably the least succesful tear down in baseball history. Hahn and company basically wrote the book on how to run your franchise into the ground.
  14. The organization canceled Sox Fest this year. Thye both hate and are afraid of their fanbase it appears. What for profit business cancels an event where thousands of people want to pay thousands of dollars to gather at an event that is soley about your product?
  15. He stands for kissing his boss ass every day and getting paid handsomely to do it.
  16. I'm having deja vu. An article like this seems to come out every few years yet the man is still employed. There will be another article in a few years and we will all sit here scratching our heads while Hahn lines up his tee times with JR.
  17. Is this the year that Tampa Bay finally breaks through and wins a World Series? I would rather go 12 and 0 in October over April every time.
  18. Good point. It's a problem of both not ponying up for elite talent when it becomes available via free agency as well as the inability to develop a functional pipepline of minor league talent. Also, I'm not certain that the Sox were ever serious on Machado. Those negotiations were all a dog and pony show and the deal was deliberately sabotoged by the Sox.
  19. Give me one Bryce Harper over the combination of Benintendi, Kuechel, and Grandal.
  20. Excellent point. Sox pitching experienced very few injuries last year which is a rarity and not likely to repeat. It's been repeated ad nauseum at this point, but the lack of depth in the minors is absolutely mind boggling. This team pissed away 3.5 seasons to tank for high draft picks and the farm is still pretty much a wasteland.
  21. Good question. Was wondering the same myself. This dude got the biggest free agent deal in Sox history and will likely not even hit 25 homers over the life of the contract.
  22. This dude had his coming out party at Wrigley Field this week.
  23. Will the Sox even win a single series in April? 3x Baltimore at home. The O's curbstomped the Sox head to head last year. Tough series 3X Phillies at home: Philly is out to a tough start but they are defending NL champs. Sox also not off to good start against NL teams this year. 3X at Tampa. Have fun. 3x at Toronto. Sox always struggle in Toronto and Blue Jays offense is really really good. 4x Tampa at home: Have fun. Sox will be lucky to win 5 games the rest of this month.
  24. This season is on the brink of spiraling out of control fast. There is a very real chance that this team is 10 games under 500 come May 1st. We heard the dont panic cause it is early in the season refrain all last year. We will hear it again now. How many times till we don't get fooled again?
