Keeping the Favorite Theme going
QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) Oh my God! The Thirsty Whale! What a dive! That hot dog place was killer! They'd smother the dog with fries! Best place to play shows at though! Plus a fave to see bands at. But the whole experience was just great, and the food next door made it that much better!

Keeping the Favorite Theme going
I've never understood the infatuation some people have for White Castle. I haven't had one in YEARS. They just built one not too far from me, maybe I should give it another chance?

Keeping the Favorite Theme going
Burger King Whopper is that king for me. Sometimes though I need a Big Mac. Zippy's Cheesy Beef is amazing, especially on the garlic bread. Portillos Beef And Cheddar Croissant is just amazing. Most any small joint for Hot Dogs will be killer. Anybody remember Genies (I think that is the name) that used to be next door to The Thirsty Whale? BEST Dogs and fries ANYWHERE!!!

I hate Cancer
QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 07:50 AM) Sorry to get a little sappy. Threads like this require a little "sap" to help us all remember that we are all very similar people. I agree with you on many aspects. Out of all of the boards I hit, this one has by far some of the most intelligent and caring (from what I can tell) people on any board. I hit numerous, and this one is the coolest as far as people go.Some of my fave emails I recieve even come from a person on this board. But back to the topic, as much as I can, I'll for your firend with the illness Chisoxy. Life gets too damn scary sometimes.

One of the fall outs of the Sosa trade
Damn...I have a tear forming! I never thought I would feel any sympathy for Sosa, but I think he nailed it on the head pretty damn well there!

music
Right now I have some Field Of The Nephilim going. It's a bootleg show, and sounds REALLY good. Such a great atmosphere these guys had going. They are back together, kind of, but I am not expecting much. Before that it was an obscure Italian Glam band named Miss Daisy. Nothing overly original, but the energy made up for it all. Fun band in the end. Also on a kick of Drivin' N Cryin' as of late. Now a plug: DOOR NO. 2 for a GREAT band with one of the all-time great voices, Joe Blanton! Joe was the vocalist for a brilliant band from the late 80's early 90's named Royal Court Of China. Kind of a Glam/Southern/Biker band by ways of Punk. Joe has one of the greatest soul/bluesy voices going. He also seems to have found the Fountain of Youth as he looks younger now than he did in '89. They are a Florida band, so FlasoxxJim needs to keep an eye out.

For anyone that has had braces (ever)...
Now I am just going to a lifelong thing here. I want a coroner somewhere to say the words "what the hell...?".

GOOD LORD!!! I want to know what happened to the knucklehead now!!! But I think I just might know the outcome without any info!

For anyone that has had braces (ever)...
I only had mine for about a year, and it was only for cosmetic reasons. They did suck though. I have video of me during a time when one of the "brackets" (or whatever they are called) on one of my molars fell off. So in this video you see me just messing with it with my tongue the whole time. I was an annoying person to begin with, and this just exagerrated the annoyance that was the 13 year old me. On a slightly side note, I'm now 34 and my braces came off when I was 14. Ya know what though? I STILL HAVE THE BOTTOM RETAININER GLUED ONTO MY TEETH!!!

Iraqi Election Thread
I see early results are showing Bush as winning the votes in Florida.

But is he still Master of his Domain?
Well, we all know a "House Arrest" just won't solve the problem this time.

Afraid to any further, as the link is a place called "Celebrity Gangbang".

Six Degrees Of Separation.
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) Alright, I brought the game up with the intentions of it being played under a certain format. But you can play however you like. No, no, you started, you make the rules. I got out of line and got a little cocky there, my apologies.
-
Six Degrees Of Separation.
No, I was going by the actual rules of the game. Sorry.

Six Degrees Of Separation.
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) We'll start off easy, Robert DeNiro > Al Pacino. Sorry for going back to the beginning, but I just found it funny that this was done in so many steps. Let me give it a shot: HEAT!!! Thank you...I will now sit down.

11 killed in trains derailment near Los Angeles
No, put him through REAL hell and put him in a cell with fake weapons. Give him a collapsable knife! "Oops, didn't work? Heh, try again! Oh, no, again? Keep trying..."

Sick story from local news where I am...

Hey William Tell!!!
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 25, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) I mean, what about that Bad Penguin from Wallace and Grommit? Oh man, I had forgotten about THAT!!! LOL!!! That episode is soooo dang funny!
-
Hey William Tell!!!
I sit here and just stare at that dang avatar of yours! What the heck is going on there??? I am guessing it is a fake penquin set-up to knock the other guy over, but what is it from and how did whoever do it? I love it, as I find penquins (Opus actually looks more like a Puffin though) just flat out funny on their own, then this just adds to the charm.

Bush seeks 80 billion more for Iraq
I'll buy them all a Big Mac if they just decide to leave instead. Do ya like how I tie that into the MacDonaldland thread???

Coffee Makers
QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Jim and I both can't stand Starbucks coffee. It's gross. In the mornings we get White Hen coffee. I love Starbucks coffee, but hate the price and the stuff you can buy there. I am not a fan of White Hen, but I do hit the one on my way to work every so often just for kicks. Nothing in that place will ever make those people happy, so I go there just to see what is pissing them off from day to day. The other day it was because I gave the girl at the counter a $20 for a purchase on $3. Silly me, I thought that a White Hen at 7AM that was full of people buying stuff, would be able to break my monstrous denomination of $20. But I guess not, because she spent a good amount of time huffing and puffing and slamming the bills in the cash drawer around like they all belonged to the WWE (WWF is gone...right?).

Coffee Makers
I've been using the same damn coffee maker for 10+ years now. It makes crappy coffee, but with the prices that these damn things run lately, forget it. The stuff Starbucks sells may as well be sold at an airport with as overpriced as they make it. Luckily there is a donut shop by my house that makes some of the best coffee out there, and they only charge $1.00 for a 20oz. cup! I can't even get that price from the crappy gas station coffee! Oh, and I am a decaf drinker, so if I don't get my coffee, I am fine.
