  1. Say what you will about the depth vet OFs, but they've hit some clutch HRs lol
  2. A run scored and 6 outs, let's make it happen
  3. Making him work with some better ABs at least, would be nice to cash something in with 2 outs
  4. Kelenic's lineout with a higher xBA than either HR lol
  5. Some shuffling to kick off the week: Adrian Gil and Alexander Albertus (allegedly) up to Kanny Arxy Hernandez up to WS Shelton and DePino up to Birmingham as reported Riley Gowens back to Birmingham Dustin Harris and Bido activated for Charlotte Will be nice to finally confirm the existence of Albertus after he posted some nice lines in AZ.
  6. No timetable
  7. That's the plan. I think 5 innings at C?
  8. Welcome back. Other old friend updates: Giolito expected to debut for SD this weekend LRJ still not doing baseball activities Crochet playing catch but not throwing off a mound yet Reynaldo Lopez has been moved back to the pen for ATL Even year performer Dylan Cease has a 2.58 ERA and is T-3 for strikeouts Sosa had a couple big games vs. MIN to start the month but is 1-16 in his last 5. Getting more time at 1B now.
  9. FWIW, from CST a few days ago
  10. Another good AL Central beat writer fumbled by The Athletic. He's been my go-to for keeping up with what's going on in Twins world, even though I'm (obviously) not a Twins fan. But I agree that he should find enough support to keep it going independently, and props to him for trying rather than ditching the team.
  11. The Sox being better makes the rest of the division look worse. They had donated a sweep to 3/4 teams in the division and were like 2-14 overall vs. ALC by this point last season.
  12. Nice to see them keep finding different ways to win, including scratching and clawing for this one late. Davis Martin is such a development success story. Win #19 and series win #6, both of which didn't come until June last season. Tied for 2nd with KC pending their night game. 14-11 in their last 25.
  13. Vargas' second HR the hardest hit of his career at 112.9 EV
  14. The Sox through 40 games: Longest L Streak # of L4+ 2024 7 4 2025 8 3 2026 3 0 Avoiding letting losses snowball into long streaks continues to be key for the team's improved look and feel. Hat tip to Kay for stepping up with the stopper outing today. Castillo's fall off this season is sort of crazy to see, glad the boys took advantage.
  15. Pretty surprised they overturned that honestly
  16. DET vs. KC and CLE vs. MIN going on simultaneously, potential to shake up the standings Weird that the Sox have only played 1 series in the division so far, by this time last year they were 2-17 in division. The top of the division looks a bit weaker with the Sox not donating everyone a free sweep or two
