Meh. It's a lot of trying to preempt bad feelings by "calling" them in advance, basically a coping mechanism. Not how I'd prefer to go through 162, but to each their own. If the Sox actually had all of the downfalls, busts, and regressions that the game threads assure you are imminent and in progress, it would be a very different season.

Antonacci has played in 91 out of 95 possible games since he debuted. That includes 9 games off the bench, so he starts more than 90% of the time. He has started against LHSP more often than he has sat. When he doesn't start, he comes in the game later more often than he stays on the bench. The kid has had 4 full rest days all season (as a rookie in a new position!) but for some reason every time he's not starting there's this weird panic about him being excessively benched. He isn't being strictly platooned. It's just that when he sits (which he has to at some point), they target games against LHSP to rest him (and give opportunities to the guys like Grichuk who are actual platoon guys).

Adell is in the lineup, Lowe is sitting because it's a LH starter. JRam is out though, day to day with soreness in the wrist/hand he had surgery on. Maybe LRJ can do us a solid and get hot for the series.
