  1. Quero had 3 hits yesterday, including 2 off Rodon, so I assume that's why he got moved up against another LHP
  2. He's just like that. He's had a rolling the shoulders/neck tick for as long as he's been in the org.
  3. Impressed with Burke today at least
  4. 5 scoreless for Mason Adams in his second AAA start. 3 H, 1 BB, 6 K on 71 pitches Definitely looking like someone who can contribute this summer
  5. First team in the majors to have 2 20+ HR hitters, and one of them hasn't played in a couple weeks. Colson is also the first shortstop to the 20 HR mark, the next closest is at 15 (Neto, Henderson)
  6. 420, 384, and 412ft, these aren't porch shots
  7. Seems like the back is alright
  8. Apparently tore it on a throw to the plate from RF, wild
  9. He's throwing a bullpen tomorrow and expects to be back in game action in a couple weeks.
  10. Especially with Martin and Kay both having a pair of ugly starts Almost everyone would have expected Martin pitching to a 9+ ERA over this stretch to translate to a much worse record than 5-5
  11. Mune was on pace to hit 40 in ~120 games, so he could theoretically challenge for this record if he returns in good form
  12. Struggles in NY predate this year too, they haven't won there since the first game of a doubleheader in June 2023. Eloy (who started in RF lol) hit a go ahead HR, and Graveman got the save. Moncada and LRJ also hit HRs. Then they lost the second game and now 8 more in a row since.
  13. The only Sox to hit more HR in ANY 140 game span are Thome (42 from 4/2/2006-9/25/2006) and Quentin (41 from 4/3/2008-4/17/2009)
  14. Hopefully the Knicks parade doesn't make getting in and out too difficult tomorrow with the Sox having to travel to DET after a night game
  15. There actually is another ABS metric out there that weights the impact of challenges differently, and he does rate highly in that one. Will probably take more sample size for there to be a consensus on ABS analytics either way though.
  16. I can understand Quero wanting to challenge the pitch the ump has been calling all game to get him to either stop calling it or at least be consistent Unfortunately it's NY and the ump doesn't care
  17. I know it probably won't matter, but screw this ump man
  18. Career #40 for Colson in 140 games Also his first multi HR game?
  19. Definitely hard to see finishing the 12 game gauntlet still over .500 and potentially in first as anything other than a success. Then they get Teel and Mune back soon after as the schedule eases up.
  20. Good challenge, but he's going to keep calling them knowing we can't/won't challenge them all
  21. You can really see why the Yanks offense has such strong home/road splits. Good thing the 4 game set is at home I guess? Hopefully we get some better umping too, the ump calling these low pitches for the Yanks all day is why Quero wasted a challenge on one earlier
  22. I'm assuming the pull is mostly precautionary. I might have done it anyway just to keep him available for one of the next two games after the Yanks added on.
  23. Ah okay I misunderstood. Would have to go back and watch it again to see how much time he had.
