  1. Less effective strategy as the road team
  2. Game would be over if Rojas could field a bunt lol
  3. Wolkow no doubter to RF for a 6-2 Kanny lead. He also has 2 walks so far
  4. Why is the zone suddenly so big for Munoz lol
  5. Brash is very good, but you have to find a way to score Luis there. HRs are fun, but 1-11 with RISP is not. Missing Meidroth/Vargas for some contact.
  6. Statistically they have hovered around the 12-15 range for a while. The offense just haven't given them comfortable leads to work with for most of the season, and they've pitched among the most innings in MLB to cover for a young staff. If the bats could produce like .5 more runs/game and the starters could last 2 more outs on average, I think perceptions of this pen would be very different (especially given the shoestring budget).
  7. Luis has been impressive in both ABs today. Full count both times, reached both times (BB and 2B), 16 pitches seen and only 2 whiffs.
  8. I already thought it was a moral victory to make Seattle use their closer in a game where your starter went 1.2IP/7ER, but I'm very open to an actual victory victory if the Sox have one in them.
  9. Yes, to at least some extent. If they didn't move him to the pen he would have blown past it by now.
  10. Mariners traded Locklear so I'm assuming they're going to try to keep Naylor around, and I'm going to hate that extra series every time. It was so nice thinking he was going to be in the NL for a while.
  11. Huh. I guess a HR trot is one way for Tauch to avoid stressing the hammy. If only they'd gotten something out of that bases loaded one out situation earlier.
  12. Seattle has put together such a playoff ready rotation
  13. Cannon went through this at about the same time last year too. 3.48 ERA in 5 July starts, then an awful 6+ ERA/1.8 WHIP August, then an okay close to the season.
  14. Really wish we played these guys before the deadline.
  15. Hopefully they can take some momentum from that into tomorrow. Lineup is really missing Vargas/Meidroth who had both been heating up before their injuries. Need some more activity on the bases between the HRs. Mead should start tomorrow. Woo is a very tough RHP so I get if they wanted to protect him a bit, but if he's up you have to give him a look while Vargas is out. If Mead sticks, Rojas can be cut whenever Miguel is good to go.
  16. Two runs on 1 hit with the error and HR, 3 runs on 1 single in that inning. Hard to win giving up crooked numbers without making the other team earn them by stringing hits together at least.
  17. Pitching matchups were always going to be tough this series, but they aren't making Woo work enough.
