  1. Joe Ryan with a rough last couple starts too
  2. We somehow have 7 players with more HR on the season than Vlad Jr. And two of them have more home runs IN Toronto.
  3. 13.1 IP (14 appearances) with 0 ER since his return. 4 hits, 5 walks, 21 strikeouts in that time. 1.08 FIP, 0.675 WHIP...Mason Miller at home?
  4. Unlike some constitutionally weak fans out there, your first place Chicago White Sox just don't quit. 8 walkoffs so far this season, Quero becomes the first Sox with more than one. Big HRs from Sam and Mune to make it possible. Dart got burned on a bad pitch to Jones in the first, but otherwise did a hell of a job keeping the team in the game for the next 5 innings. The pen held the Yankees to just 1 Manfred run for the rest of the game, so that's a combined 11 innings with 0 ER. Special shoutout to Taylor for his 7 outs, and Hicks for his impressive show of testicular fortitude and continued dominance since coming off the IL. No flipping clue who pitches tomorrow, but that's a tomorrow problem. For tonight... CLE won, MIN and DET lost. The Detroit loss was especially brutal, Skubal left with a 7-0 lead with 2 out in the 7th after collecting career K #1000 in his last start before the deadline...Tigers lost 10-9 in 12. They would need a whole new pen if they want to justify keeping him, but I do hope they try and fall short anyway.
  5. They still owe us one, hope we collect tomorrow. Series has been closer than the scores indicate.
  6. Hicks hasn't allowed a run since he's been back from the IL. Career high 14 straight 0's
  7. If a batter challenges a strike that's very in the zone, it should count as two strikes.
  8. Peters' wife had a health scare over the ASB. Hope everything is okay and it's nothing something scary off field that's affecting him.
  9. I don't think Sam failing to come through in that spot would have been more annoying than Grichuk failing
  10. Would have been fine letting Sam hit there, but frankly Grich should have been able to get the job done too. He needs to understand the assignment and get a ball to the OF. If that means taking a pitch or two to get one you can lift, then do it.
  11. I don't like bunting with guys that aren't comfortable doing it. Just let him swing.
  12. Replays will be available later, hit the switch again
  13. Wish they sent Miggy last inning, but I'll settle for him scoring in this one.
  14. Feels like several of these losses have come down to one bad inning with one big XBH for the opponent, but that's baseball for you.
  15. They've been shutout 3 times in their last 5 games, with JRam and Martinez both back.
  16. Hays is off tonight for Charlotte
  17. Times pitching 6+ innings in July: Sean Burke: 4 Everyone else: 0 Some of it is the aggressively short leash on Fedde (and sometimes Kay) though. There's been times where I thought guys could have gone deeper but got hooked.
  18. HBP in his first game with Boston after the trade
