Oh I hate this. Even if I understood why they wanted Doyle (I don't), how the heck is this the cost?

He had one really bad outing against ATL where he gave up a slam. Take out that blip and it's 10 ER total in 52.1 IP, good for a 1.72 ERA. Looks like he's opened a few times too, in case that's ever asked of him here. I like Gabe Davis, but this seems like a solid get. Minimal postseason experience (1 scoreless inning in 2023 with Miami) but he pitched well on a big stage in the WBC:

As a big Mason Adams fan, I wouldn't like to see him moved for most of the names that are out there.

FWIW, parsing through AI output to try to decipher what, if anything, is actually accurate/useful/relevant often takes more mental energy than just using your brain directly to begin with.

And even though the pitching side is a bit older than the position players, they don't have postseason experience. I do think they wanted a guy who has been there before.
