The point of re-doing Soldier Field for the Sox is to have a stadium on the lakefront. But if they do that, retractable roof is out and April games will be brutally cold. I know everyone complains about the logistics for Soldier Field, but unless you're taking public transit it's not much worse than GRF. Don't they also have trolleys from the Roosevelt L stop?

I think the Royals don't view Salvy as a bad contract. The Sox were literally going to give up value for him weeks ago.

I agree that the Sox are a sleeping giant....but they won't wake up until Jerry sells. Hopefully, he doesn't sell to someone that sees the business of baseball similar to himself. I could possibly see that being a condition of sale. They have to start fighting the Cubs for market share, something that JR has never done.

Braxton Jones is the only healthy OL starter right now. Could be a long season, with the same characters attempting to block for Fields.

This feels like Jerry is channeling Rachel Phelps from Major League. Trying to alienate what is left of the fanbase before selling to a group that will move the team out of town.

I guess I just wanted to be optimistic until they crushed my dreams. The 13 hours or so was fun.
