OMFG TLR is still involved with decision making FML.

Jake Eder update...
What part of .214/.279/.806 with 102 K in 88 games screams MLB player to you? Literally the only part of that that is ok is the slugging percentage.

Jake Eder update...
I'd argue that Burger on the Sox was not an MLB player. He became one on the Marlins. The only reason why everyone liked him so much is that he hit for power in a lineup that was starved for it.

Jake Eder update...
Burger wouldn't have made the adjustments he made if he was still on the Sox. He'd probably have stayed a low avg/low OBP, all power hitter with tons of ks. It's time to just write it off and say it wouldn't have happened here.

'23 -'24 Free Agency
It's not that Andrus is good, it's that Merrifield is just as bad, if not slightly worse. Because Baseball is an individual sport masquerading as a team sport, the eye test means very little at the highest level. Numbers tell the whole story.

Official NBA 22-23
Tracks well with a Jerry Reinsdorf team. It's basically what the Sox did from 2022-23. Expect similar results.

Fall/Winter Ball: Week 3
How do you go from drafting Montgomery and Schultz back to back to taking Jacob Gonzalez with a higher pick than either of those were?

'23 -'24 Free Agency
I take issue with point one. Every MLB team can afford guys who have the record of being quality starters at a position they need to fill. They just choose not to. I will go so far as to say 30 teams can afford Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto's next contract. Again, they just choose not to.

Bears fans are not stupid and know what an actual franchise QB looks like. We have seen the Packers have one for basically 3 decades. We are getting to the point where there is nobody alive that remembers the last time the Bears had a top of the league QB. And Cutler was arguably a bottom 1/3 QB when with the Bears. I remember having arguments with my friends where they'd take 20+ qbs over Cutler, and that was just one year.

I still shudder for the eventual Salvy Perez trade. I just want it done and over with so I know what the Sox gave away.

Eloy is 27 on OD. He's not young anymore and has been injured or bad since 2021.

Anyone have reports of where Eder is velocity wise?

Greg they're probably going to be worse in 2024 than they were this year. There is no easy way out of this. It will take years, probably half a decade.

This is the offseason they are finally gonna fix RF and 2B but they won't have any pitching.

The scary thing right now is that Getz has no track record in trades.- 2023-24 NFL Season Thread
He had time before but was holding the ball and missing open receivers that had stopped.- 2023-24 NFL Season Thread
Fields looks like a completely different QB over the last 6 quarters. Calm, poised and decisive in the pocket. The light may have come on. Need to see more though. I have been critical of his play but he has earned some leeway with the last 2 games.- 2023-24 NFL Season Thread
RIP to a legend- Andrew Vaughn and Eloy: what's the plan here?
It depends on who you ask about Moncada. UZR loves him but OAA hates him. Btw you maximize runs produced by not making outs. It doesn't matter if you get 3 singles and 2 walks. Nobody got out.- Andrew Vaughn and Eloy: what's the plan here?
Is Luis Robert actually that good if he's putting up a .315 OBP? All of his value is in his power and defense. Isn't the goal of hitting to not make outs? - MLB Trade Rumors - Chicago White Sox Offseason Outlook - by Tim Dierkes
