I’m just not impressed with how Poles spread out his money. He signed a bunch of good or above average players. Zero game changers. Also, just the fact that Poles had to sign this WR is yet another indictment of his WR failures — 2nd rounder for Chase Claypool, 4th rounder used on Tyler Scott, and a 4th rounder wasted on washed-up Keenan Allen. Think about if he used all those picks on OL and DL, assuming he was good at drafting… I am no longer drinking the Poles Kool-Aid. He is on the same level as Getz as a GM at this point. I think this will still be a mediocre .500 team at best even after the draft.

I really am curious what these guys are getting paid before they ultimately get cut loose. It honestly can’t even be that much.

We went from Nicky Lopez at 2B to an actual prospect. Can’t blame him.

I can already hear the Curb theme song playing in the back of my head while the Sox are botching play after play in the field or striking out multiple times at the plate.

I realize it’s a dying industry and no offense to ChiSoxMike as he may have good credentials that I am unaware of, but even the Sun Times is going to want someone with experience rather than hire anyone off the street with a Twitter account with posts about the Sox. Even though newspapers as a form of media are almost dead, they still have an online presence, albeit a weak one. And even with experience, I bet the pay is crap. Fegan looks like a young dude, but I can only imagine the low pay he is working for. But I’m sure he loves what he does.

We just have to hope his back issues don’t screw over his career faster than they did to Crede. Crede at least played until 31 but his career was still cut short. I just hope he can stay healthy enough to play somewhere, even if that’s 3B instead of SS.

They were apparently very reclusive and they liked their privacy but I can’t believe they didn’t have paid caretakers/assistants. Hackman’s wife would take care of him and her dogs. She would pick up special dog food from the vet. Just seems a bit ridiculous when your net worth is $83.8 million.

Would be nice if it was actually one of our own homegrown prospects.
