Poll: longest losing streak this season

Almost as stupid as defending Getz’s moves… Maldonado especially. If you can recognize Eloy’s failures, you should also recognize our GM’s failures.

8/3 Sox @ Twinkies 6:10PM - Road to 19
WhiteSox2023 replied to DoUEvenShift's topic in 2024 Season in Review
Without Rick Hahn, Getz wouldn’t even have the few good prospects that he has right now. -
While also taking away 6 years of control over a top 2B/CF prospect from them. Getz is a moron and in way over his head.
-
It sure looks a whole lot worse now than when the trade was made, especially with Cease turning back into an ace this season. An offensive prospect (Zavala) struggling right after he comes to our organization. What a surprise!

No, you get Dominic Fletcher and you’ll like it! Amazing how many poor decisions Getz has made outside of his one good signing (Fedde). -
Colas should have been starting all season. Getz and Grifol were too busy proving what any Sox fan with a clue already knew, that Sheets sucks balls and should be DFA.
-
It’s at the point now where no one could even use small sample sizes to prove this team isn’t as bad as its record. There are no more small sample sizes of them winning. ?

Hired by a moron GM whom was hired by a terrible owner. Nothing improves until JR is gone.

Nope. Just more… “HISTORY!!!”

Updated game thread title… “8/4 - Streak Ends Never”

I thought he had trade value?!? Why is he still here?

Based on their offseason, Getz did tank with his pathetic signings and cut payroll a lot. Why should the Sox be rewarded for trying to be bad?

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
WhiteSox2023 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Trade Winds 2024
I like how JR/Getz are too short-sighted to realize that they aren’t competing next year anyways, but also that taking away a good prospect or two from the Twins would also hurt them in the long run more so than anything Fedde does next year. Idiots. -
How the F are we ever going to build an offense?
WhiteSox2023 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I doubt it even gets to that. My guess is that they will cancel SoxFest due to some bogus excuse to avoid facing the music. -
Grifol is the end of the season fall guy to detract from both JR and Getz’s failures, just as Hahn and Kenny were the fall guys for last season.
-
Those players were all known to be terrible when they were acquired, outside of Brebbia and Clevinger. It’s a fool’s errand to go dumpster diving and expect all of those bums to put up a good year. The Sox have been employing this dumpster diving strategy for years and it pretty much never works out and ends up in wasting millions of dollars. Yes, one true star player has a greater likelihood of putting up 4 to 5 WAR than that collection of bums.
-
Fire this clown if he wouldn’t trade Fedde to the Twins who would be there for only one more season. Getz thinks the Sox will be competitive next year? ?
-
The Twins prospect (Luke Keaschall) is 21 and definitely fit the Sox timeline much better than 24 year old Vargas with 5 years of control.

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
WhiteSox2023 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Trade Winds 2024
Yep, that is the kicker. If it isn’t some stupid rule invoked by Jerry like you say, it means Getz thinks they will be competitive next year, lol! If there is any truth to the Twins offer for Fedde, choosing Vargas over a young prospect like Luke Keaschall who can play 2B and CF with a full six years of control is a deplorable decision. -
Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
WhiteSox2023 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Trade Winds 2024
Crochet just threw 4 innings and 77 pitches and gave up only 1 run against the Twins yesterday. A contending team with a big division lead could likely have managed his innings/pitches better than the Sox and get him to pitch in the playoffs. Teams knew about his innings count, yet were still interested. Crochet then made his demand for an extension to pitch in the postseason six days before the trade deadline. That is what truly turned teams off. You did not know about Crochet’s extension demand when you made your claim that he would not be traded, three weeks before the trade deadline. You predicted he wouldn’t be traded without the very news/update that caused him not to be traded. The end. ? ? -

I present to you greg, the most bi-polar poster of all time… https://www.soxtalk.com/forums/topic/119449-thorpe-to-il-with-flexor-strain/?do=findComment&comment=4632372 -

Why are you worried about Crochet being worthless to the already worthless 27-86 White Sox? At this point, the Sox winning or losing games isn’t important because their season was already over months ago. Do you not think Crochet will be tradable in the offseason? Because the key for the Sox is keeping him healthy, not winning a meaningless game so greg can go to bed with a smile on his face. -
It has only been 2 innings but I do remember people saying this would happen. Meanwhile, the Sox ruin offensive prospects.
