9/2 GT - Sox vs. Orioles 2:05 CT
The dumpster diving names will be different next offseason but they will all mostly end up being money burned in a fireplace by Getz.

Flexen at 82 pitches through 3 innings. 5.37 ERA. I’m not sure we should bring him back next season.

Watch it not matter against the Sox. He will be back to being an ace tomorrow.- Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
Well, it sure appears that you put your trust in the wrong staff, sorry to say.- Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
Yep, JR running his team like Circuit City while all the other teams are Best Buy’s.- Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
Missing injuries and saving money on callups by not sending guys to the IL. What an absolute joke of a team.- Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
That video is absolutely amazing and I almost spit out my beer twice with the inclusion of a picture of the Campfire Milkshake and Maldonado’s headshot. This guy has to be a poster on this site. 🤣 They face the Orioles and Corbin Burnes tomorrow. Chalk up #108!- Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
How does this even get missed with how X-rays, MRI’s, and CT scans are done for almost anything and everything, even for high school athletes? This is a major league team (well, not really). Amazing.- Thorpe season ending bone spur surgery in elbow
Never give this stupid organization the benefit of the doubt. You can almost always assume they fucked up.- 9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
Terrible trades and signings. He basically destroyed the success of his one really good signing (Fedde) with the garbage return he got for him. Truly amazing that Vargas was their target. He had already shown nothing in 424 plate appearances with the Dodgers and I have no idea why they would want a guy with a poor glove as well. What in the hell did Tosar and Getz see in this guy? That’s his second major failed player acquisition after Fletcher.- 9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
“I DID THAT!”- 9/1 GT - Mets at Sox (1:10pm CT)
Would that be another shutout?- Sox flashback quote 8/31/23...
You know this isn’t happening. Getz will be doing some more failed dumpster diving as they drop the payroll to $100 million to be a bottom 5 payroll team.- Brebbia DFA'd, Berroa back
Watch. He will now go the way of Bummer and Chavez and be productive for them.- Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
His backstory is insane. He may have been high when that ball bounced off of his head… https://www.blessyouboys.com/2018/2/15/17016852/detroit-tigers-history-ron-leflore-former-all-star- Fire Paul Janish
Sure, he roped Getz into acquiring worthless Vargas. But Tosar is gone now so Getz will have to eat the blame at this point. Former director of player development… what a joke.- Who is our ShortStop, right now?
Instagram hootchies are calling his name…- Fire Paul Janish
So who gets the blame for the lack of hitting development then?- Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
He was before my time but I actually remember his name. He actually wasn’t a bad player in his earlier years for Detroit. He was good earlier in his career but he was done by the time the Sox acquired him. But he was damn sure no where near as good as Lemon.- Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
Also crazy that his teammate interjected about getting something for him. That would never happen nowadays. Back when it was only about winning. Bull didn’t care about Chet earning his living apparently.- Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
@Lip Man 1, fucking absolute amazing stuff here and you basically answered my question with a copy and paste from your own archives. Please never disappear from this site cuz we will miss your historical advantages that none of us have. It’s still just absolutely amazing how Chet Lemon was a sabrmetrics superstar before anyone knew WTF that even meant! What a fvcking stud!- Chet Lemon in bad shape from multiple strokes
Even more ironic and hilarious, both Chet Lemon and Steve Kemp finished their careers with the exact same OPS — .797. Except Lemon was a stud defensive CF and Kemp played LF. Also… Career WAR Chet Lemon: 55.7 Steve Kemp: 19.5 Oops… - Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
