Trade Fields to the Vikings. Who cares? When you play the Vikings, use a QB spy and he’s done. -
Robert #23, Cease #57 in ESPN's Top 100 in the game list

Sox looking at building in South Loop

JR trying to leech off of the Bears is so embarrassing and unsurprising. Glad to see they apparently told him to go kick rocks. -

They obviously want Caleb to have multiple pass catching options to succeed but I’m not a fan of overpaying RBs over drafting them in later rounds. Swift is pretty stupid. He thinks he can turn any carry into a positive gain. I can’t remember which game it was but rather than going down for no gain, he kept running backwards on a blitz thinking he was going to turn the corner on the defense on both sidelines and ended up with a 15 yard loss. -

That’s what Brad Biggs reported on The Score. -

That’s the only positive. Overpaying a RB. Yuck. -

Agreed.

The Cubs are going to be in playoff contention. The Sox are going to bad a bad team. Bellinger switching the side of town he plays for was never going to change these things.

Yup, when do fans just realize and accept that JR isn’t actually trying to compete? The owner who thinks 2nd place finishes are great — the dangling carrot in front of the horse (a.k.a. Sox fans).

Will any team give Trevor Bauer a last shot?
WhiteSox2023 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I never said that Bauer isn’t a total goof or that the Sox should sign him. I just think the woman Lauren Hill was going for a cash grab. And getting accused by other women doesn’t automatically mean that he is guilty. -

It seemed like Bauer had evidence she was lying. There was a picture of her that showed her with no bruising right after the date she claimed he beat her. She ended up settling her lawsuit against Bauer but received no money in the settlement. She did however receive $300K from her insurance company. -

Steelers signed him for just $1.2 million. Meanwhile, the Broncos still owe him $38 million. ? -

I love this news. JR will still cry poor and blame Sox fans. -

Yep, but I think teams view Fields as having more perceived value because of his athleticism. If he figures it out, he could be a Lamar Jackson type. Mac Jones can only rely on his arm. -

Mac Jones is an immobile turnstile with a questionable arm. I don’t think his value reflects much on Fields. Fields may only be worth a 3rd rounder but it won’t be because of Mac Jones. -

Mlb.com Sox projected lineup and rotation is out
WhiteSox2023 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I’m starting to question the defense thing, the more I see Sheets in RF. Also, Maldonado has aged and could just be bad now. The only true improvement will probably be the middle infield with DeJong and Lopez but their awful bats will counter what their gloves bring. -
I guess YAY that we signed Maldonado for twice as much as Grandal since he will actually play… but is Maldonado playing actually a good thing?!? ?

Agreed, I’d go over on Moncada and under on Vaughn but I truly believe Robert and Eloy are the only sure bets to be above a .750 OPS. How did a multi-year rebuild end up with this lineup? My god, I’m serious when I say this but I think an average Sox fan could’ve built a better team with no GM experience and some contract advisors, than what Kenny and Hahn left Getz with and what Getz continued on with. I do agree with your list of pitchers to watch. I am hopeful for all of them and will be tuning in especially for Leasure, Berroa, Bush, and Garcia. I also love the irony of us having a bench of Moustakas, Pillar, and Stassi considering all the years we had terrible bench players. Now we acquire all of them 3 to 5 years too late.
