  1. I think Rodon had similar issues until he saw his career on the brink.
  2. That is one very strong young man.
  3. Yeah that stuck out for me too. I think Shane Smith is still eligible. I’d probably still have Mason Adams ahead of Pallette too. Those two come to mind.
  4. I don’t know that it’s worthy of its own thread so I’ll just leave it here. Kiley re-ranked his Sox (and everyone’s) top 10. 1. Schultz 2. Quero 3. Teel 4. Smith 5. B. Montgomery 6. Taylor 7. C. Montgomery 8. Meidroth 9. Bonemer 10. Pallette
  5. Because I felt it was irrelevant. He was speaking about the stadium. I’m not arguing with you about this further because this place is already 3 people hijacking every thread arguing about stupid s%*#. If you disagree I respect that and let’s move on.
  6. Not worried, Debbie.
  7. That has nothing to do with what I posted, especially because I believe it was 2019 when he went.
  8. The last guy I talked to where I live and had gone to the Rate described it as “that place fucking sucks” I also think that’s the only guy I know that actually went to a Sox game because everyone else who visits Chicago just goes to Wrigley. Anecdotal, but that’s my personal experience.
  9. Shockingly 7 teams with a worse run differential
  10. Just watching the games it seemed to start the season he was swinging at everything trying to hit one out every swing. It was oddly out of character. I suspected then and still do that he was disappointed in being optioned and was trying to be promoted asap, probably developed some bad habits, and dug himself into a massive hole. Who knows if it will work, but I think the Arizona demotion could be a much needed reset.
  11. This is the first time I’ve seen Gil Luna pitch and I really hope it’s the last time.
  12. I don’t think he’s wrong. They’ve had a lot of good at bats up there. They just don’t have any talent.
  13. For someone who posts so much you never really actually say anything.
  14. I don’t think he’s a “true” SS. He can probably fake it for a couple years.
  15. The strategy, from what I could interpret, was to get these guys for minimal prospect impact and flip them for something better. how is that going? Booser looks like a stroke of genius. Dude looks like Matt Thornton with the life on his fastball. Assuming he can keep it sort of up, he could net a very nice return. Gilbert has been less encouraging, though serviceable. As of this moment I don’t suspect he has much value.
  16. It’s the most important position on the field, so it’s nice to know we likely project well. there’s a note later on in the article on how catchers tend to be easily extendable and that may also be part of the strategy. See who extends for less, deal the other?
  17. Being right and “winning” the argument has become more important than anything else.
  18. If Bonemer keeps performing how he is as a 19 year old who could feasibly start his career at SS, he could leapfrog those two even if they perform well.
  19. Colson over .300 the past week. Still striking out too much, though.
  20. Haven’t seen this posted anywhere else, but FG just slapped a 70 grade on Ramos’ defense at 3rd.
  21. I think this is a pretty tremendous sign. Of course the offense is still s%*# because the talent simply isn’t there to impact the ball, but it’s a good sign nonetheless.
