Colson Montgomery to AZ Complex

Recommended Posts

This is what I was hoping for. He needs to get back to who he was before becoming so focused on hitting for power. He is at his best with an all-fields approach. They’re gonna have to change his swing to get there.

I don't think they've done anything like this for any other prospects in the Sox org before, have they? We've had other prospects struggle / hit ceilings (or not hit anything at all), and the most we've done is drop 'em down a level.

I don't like that he's struggling, but this again shows the current regime is willing to try stuff that goes against the grain of what this organization has done previously.

Get him squared away, and then send him to Birmingham. They have 2+ years before they really have decisions to make. Drop him back a notch, and let him get comfortable with the changes.

If the White Sox need 2 more years to make decisions, the problem is (still) much bigger than Colson

He can try to get back to who he was allegedly trying to be anyway.

Agreed. Needs to get out of the pressure and back to himself.
