  1. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 12:21 AM) Here's one thing, though. I'm worried I might not get the ticket in the mail because of the old address on the title and getting a warrent out for my arrest. the red light ticket should just be a petty offense meaning they wouldn't issue a warrant, what they would likely do is call your name at the court date and if you're not there enter a conviction on your driving record and take judgment on any court costs, meaning it could jack a few things up. Change your address though ASAP. Jessie White can suspend your license for that and you really wouldn't have any notice. Just get pulled over one day and arrested, because that is a misdo, not a petty.
  2. QUOTE (CSF @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 11:01 PM) Ozzie said during the postgame press conf that they would have a party to celebrate the 2 runenrs caught stealing. lol, I was shocked both times, especially since they were no doubters. Well, AJ doesn't have the greatest arm, but the pitchers often give him zero chance
  3. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 11:00 PM) The Phillies have no business trading for Halladay. They're too damn good without him. regular season I agree, but I think they made need him in the playoffs
  4. Hendo/Franklin II at LHW main eventing 103
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 06:03 PM) Say the Cubs get swept by the Phillies, do you think Hendry panics and makes a trade? I believe it would have to be a cheaper player or they would have to dump salary somewhere, I don't believe the ownership situation has resolved itself enough to add significant payroll
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 20, 2009 -> 06:32 PM) I don't think Poreda's stock went down because of one game. For the most part he's been pretty good and as expected, imo. I agree, his stock kind of is what it is and will stay there for a little barring injury. Any scout worth their salt wouldn't put a ton of stock in a few average or bad outings of a guy who's never came out of the pen before and one of the outings was after an extended layoff due to the all star break.
  7. FWIW, Gammons was just on SC and said he thinks Halladay will stay with the Jays. It seems that JP was serious about it costing 3 or 4 top prospects and won't deal him for a lesser package just to move him
  8. awesome that Q is back, but Wise is arguably the worst position player in MLB and Anderson is a good defender, this should have been a no brainer. Looks like a double and a HR saved Wise. Awful decision.
  9. Price will throw a lot of pitches if hitters let him, hopefully the Sox do

    Supplements

right now I drink whey protein, it helps get me protein and fills me up. In the past I've used creatine and it works. Once you start loading you notice 2-3 extra reps pretty quickly and since you're taking extra water on it blows your muscles up. Now I was taking it when labs were often dirty, so I wouldn't be shocked if I had some extra help in there
  11. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 19, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) I should of prefaced my comment with an If. There is a good question mark with Ramirez, and you're right to call me out on it. Yeah, I agree that there's a possability he may come back as a force, but I haven't seen it yet.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 19, 2009 -> 01:43 PM) Mock went 3 1/3 innings and allowed 10 base runners. His WHIP is near 2.05 now. Thanks for nothing Nationals! well, the Sox gained more ground on 1st winning 2 out of 3 than the Cubs did sweeping the Nationals
  13. 5-15 foot putts have plagued Watson for years, and bit him today. It's weird that a 59 year old didn't lose it because of the long clubs, but putting instead. Excellent effort by him and Cink. Boy, after this weekend I am pissed that ESPN has the Open for a bunch of years exclusively, the broadcasts on ABC were terrible. Tirico is usually OK as a golf commentator but he was brutal this weekend. The one defense I will give them is they were using the BBC feed, not their own, but it was still bad.
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 19, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) With Lee and Ramirez hitting, the Brewers and Cardinals don't have the punch to match the Cubs. I need to see more from him to say he's "hitting." He has to hit a decent amount of home runs, one HR doesn't convince me.
  15. yeah, I'm on the side that says either use him in a prominent role in the majors or send him back down to get regular work
  16. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 10:53 PM) Halladay doesn't push the Brewers over the top. Their back end of the rotation remains really shaky, while the Cubs appear to be finding some footing. Ideally, they solidify the catching spot and work on finding cheaper options for their rotation. A series against the Nationals prove nothing, I'm not saying they're not going to be good in the 2nd half, but beating the Natinonals 3 out of 4 or a sweep does nothing to impress me
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) The Nationals are doing everything possible to lose these games to the Cubs. 18 base runners and 5 runs for them so far tonight. The Nationals announcers are great to listen to, as they despise the effort of their players. Is it the broadcast with Dibble? Those are awesome, he'll openly call out how bad the team is. To me, this is just building the funny, the fans and the media will get all stirred up over this series and will come crashing back down.
  18. Obviously by my Av I am a huge fan of EA and her hottness, and I was e-mailed links by my friends, but I won't watch it, it's disgusting
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 12:43 AM) Guess Tito is finally finding out he isnt a major player in MMA today. Wouldve liked to seen him outside of the UFC just to see different matchups. But inside the octagon he is nothing more than a gatekeeper at this point. My guess is there were some pretty decent offers for Tito out there, but at this point nothing like the UFC can offer for a 3-4 fight deal. Strikeforce is staying with a good business model by not spending crazy money on 1 fighter and Affliction basically said at the beginning they'll do 3 high payroll shows and reevaluate, so they probably weren't offering Tito more than a 1 fight payday. His best hope, and the mmaweekly.com article refers to it, is CBS was involved in some of the negotiations, probably them puting some money towards him so a big name could headline a CBS show. Ideally I would imagine they would protect him for a fight or two and then he'd fight the loser of the Rashad/Rampage fight. MMAweekly has removed Tito's twitter comments from their story because the account's authenticity is in question.
  20. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 08:25 AM) He just hasn't been the same since he's come back, especially with the driver off the tee. I mean he's still very, very good, but he's not as good as he was back in 2007 ATM. I actually think Sergio Garcia may win. He's at -1, and if he can get the putter going, he's as good of a ballstriker as anyone still out there. Tiger's swing is so handsy right now it's crazy. Watson is continuing to put up a great performance. Before today I liked Vijay, but he had a terrible round. Watson is doing nothing to tell me he can't pull it off, but I will be watching Furyk at -1
  21. Great win coming off the break, yeah, Danks could have looked better, but he got the W.
  22. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jul 17, 2009 -> 06:25 PM) According to his Twitter, Tito expects to be back in the Octagon soon. that tells me there is no money out there close to UFC money for him
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2009 -> 08:44 PM) It's amazing how bad the Nationals are. It's the perfect team for the Cubs to start the 2nd half against. They are horrific, the bottom of the 1st was a complete joke. Media and Cubs fans will overreact to this series, luckily the Cards won and the Astros are beating the Dodgers. Looks like there will be 3 teams tied for 2nd 3 games behind the Cards if things hold
  24. David Shuester (sp?) from the Score reporting from the Cell with tape of Ozzie he wouldn't trade Beckham and about CQ Shuester said he's still experencing a sore foot and don't look for him this weekend, maybe next week
