KC still up 4-3? -
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) 6'4" 245 and he knows judo? talk about bad ass. I'm so glad for him, especially after what he went through in the bronx. I just wish there was a way he could pitch next weekend in Cleveland. Well I like that if the Sox need the 1 game playoff for the division Jose will be pitching it and B-Mac will be pitching Sunday

Happy B-Day!!! 21 Finally!!

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) Jeff Brantley on ESPN... :headshake Does anyone in Bristol bother to watch any games besides the Yankees and Sawks. Count has a career ERA under 3 against the following teams. CLE KC MIN (that's pretty much the entire division) NYY TB and he has a 3.88 career ERA against the Tigers. Suck it Brantley! no, especially Brantley... so, those numbers basically say if Sox get the WC and face NYY in the first round Jose has to pitch
-
QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) i think its safe at this point to assume that kc will suck dick no matter who pitches or what team they are playing. my money says kc gets their sorry asses swept. my money also says we win tomorrow and sweep the kc-esque tigers and win the division. i'll go out on a limb and say KC eeks one of the games out, and I'll say tomorrow, I know it's Millwood pitching with his 2.97 ERA, but he's also like 8-11, so hopefully whatever has been preventing him from winning more keeps going
-
game over, 7-6 tribe, hopefully KC can scratch one out sat or sun.. they hit Lee and CC well, hopefully they can actually do something against the Clevelands other pitchers
-
s*** 2 dead, that's about it, Cleveland is just rolling right now and KC gave them the opporunity
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) Hopefully he won't continue to be a Sox killer. he is, Ks in four pitches
-
Denny Hocking PHing, man wasn't he a Sox killer with the Twins?
-
Belliard pops out, 7-6 Clev, bot of 9... s*** MacDougal pitched well, two errors did him in
-
Ks Haffner.... 2 outs, is Sweeney hurt or can he pinch hit?
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Peralta singles to left to score Sizemore from third, 7-6 Indians. at least an easy out is coming up next!
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) I f***ing hate KC. 2 straight errors, and Indians have 1st and 3rd, one out. now do they walk Peralta to face Hafner? I think you go after Peralta and then IW Hafner
-
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) TOLD YOU!! f***ing KC, Mark Teahen just hit a bomb to tie it up... I posted this lastnight, I know KC may end up getting swept, but they have played with some guts the first two games, that team is a borderline AAA team right now talent wise and they are playing tough
-
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) ok, the lights just went out in KC. The tide is turning - GO ROYALS! lol, ok, that's what happenned, gamecast has been stuck on the same thing for like 4 minutes
-
phew, thank God for Jose... needed that win bad and Jose pitched like he wasn't going to let it go!! If Sox make the playoffs, be it WC or division the 3 pitchers have to be Jose, Garland and B-Mac
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) I heard somewhere that lefties are reaching base at a .500 clip vs Duque over his last 10 starts. man, don't be so hard, he is getting the other .500 out!!!!
-
yeah, I know this is a piling on thread, but my biggest question last night was why he didn't pinch hit for Everett with Timo to bunt the leadoff man over. PK was hitting over .500 off the guy, and yes they would probably walk him, but Rowand was 4-9 off the guy!!! You pinch run Willie for speed with PK for double play threat, it was unreal I think Ozzie is trying to go with the guys that got them the lead and refuses to use his extended bench, must managers LOVE having a 3rd catcher, and Ozzie never uses him unless it's a blowout

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) Again, I'll ask the question...what have we come to when the only savior we can imagine is Joe Borchard? Seriously...I want him to play too. I've been yelling for this since like mid august, I have no clue how he hasn't got a shot after the second half he had in AAA, now Oz won't give him a shot because if he plays well it makes him and KW look horrible
