  1. Posted this in the game log for tomorrow as well, but as of 11:20 the Sox win is ESPN.com's main story
  2. As of 11:20 on Wed. night, Sox are main story on ESPN.com... i think ESPN is starting to give them some props since they were burying them with collapse talk last week
  3. most news channels and radio in Chicago are reporting that if the Sox win tomorrow they win the division... the math is way too hard for me, so I am going to believe the media (not the best decision always, but it makes me happy for now)
  4. ESPN 1000 has been playing someo of the Devil Ray highlights with Dave Wills at the mic, and he is going ape s***, it's pretty funny
  5. I think the umpires are probably being told to do whatever they can to get the games in tonight, that's in Det. Clev. Bos and Tor... they don't want a disaster of two horrible days in a row then having a 3 way tie or something on Sunday.
  6. Love this idea, should have happenned earlier, but NBA is wasting time dumping money into the WNBA, which ratins and attendance is stagnating or decreasing... hopefully some of the stories of the 18 year olds who don't want to go to college will have a chance to develop in a meaningful way, not rot on a bench
  7. Great job Cliff!! the rest might have refreshed this bullpen... that could have been huge, Cliff stopped Uncle Mo from crossing dugouts
  8. Good job Cliff, don't let up... that crow tasted great!!!
  9. Liked that AJ was willing to call for the slider in the dirt, even with a runner on 2nd and one out a lot of catchers would be scared to call that
  10. I know it goes against reason to put the go-head run on base, but this is the only guy who has done anything tonight!!
  11. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) That's gotta be it. But, this isn't Ozzie's fault. For crying out loud two veterans and they can't execute. Detroit has a Cy Young bullpen--- along with every other team we have played lately. i disagree, I think it's Ozzie's job to put his players in positions to succeed, and I think he did not do that with A.J.
  12. Ouch, that inning hurt, that was a slap in the face after the last 3 days, I'm still worried about Ozzie managing playoff games
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) He's added payroll the past few offseasons as attendance has gone up, he will again this year, I guarantee it. yup, i went back and corrected myself a few posts up
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) It will be interesting to see JRs reasoning for not adding payroll this year, let's hope he does!!! i know i'm quoting myself, but when i read that it was a tad harsh on JR... I think the numbers prove out he's added payroll the last few years, what i meant specifically was the PK situation and how that is handled, or an extension for Garland
  15. It will be interesting to see JRs reasoning for not adding payroll this year, let's hope he does!!!
  16. f*** yeah, PK HR... let's blow these chumps out and make it a boring afternoon!!
  17. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) Sizemore looked stunned after he dropped it lol, the way it's going for Cleveland I can't believe there's some obscure rule where if you lose the ball in the sun during the 3 o'clock hour in september it's an out and your team gets a run
  18. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) ya that was hilarious. if you had mlb.tv hawk says KC wins and like 2sec later the play happens.. coco had A TON of time but couldn't see it.. wow wow, yankees and Red Sox won, so it's tied in the east, with them 1/2 game behind in WC... tomorrow SHOULD be sox up 2.5 NY and Bos tied in east and with Cle in WC, what a last week!
  19. Yeah, Rooney and Farmer said they posted it and like the crowd noticed it in 2 shifts, so there were two cheers
  20. f*** yeah!!! KC!!!! let's go MB, a 2.5 and 5 game lead going into tomorrow would be awesome!!
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) First play Blanco had no chance, but the 2nd one was a play that, even though it was tough, probably should have been made for the out at first. I think some of the Royals are planning their next 5 months
  22. OK Crede, good f***ing job, RBI single, to 2nd on the error
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) Crisp strikes out. Inning over. Bottom 9. ok, maybe a KC guy will close their eyes and swing and hit one
