  1. How many times had Pods socred over the years due to Thome, Konerko and Dye? How is Pods supposed to score from second if he routinely gets picked off it?
  2. No he didn't. He clearly said " This organizations philosophy regarding the DH positiong the past 15 years or so has been to stick a bad fielding hitter in the spot." There is nothing about speed. This reminds me of SouthsideDon's ridiculous argument how a even a guy who is a bad fielder is better than a good hitting DH because at least he plays the field.

Extract was an entertaining movie, but it wasn't as good as office space. I'm not much of an Affleck fan but thought he was really good in this movie.
  4. The White Sox have almost 3 times the amount of at-bats vs. RHP over LHP. Doesn't that make hitting RHP more important? Jim Thome was the best hitter against RHP for the Sox.
  5. Yes because the guys behind Thome hit nothing but bunt singles. GMAFB
  6. ....and hopefully some kind of "return" for giving up Nick Swisher who is absolutely crushing the ball outside of Yankee Stadium
  7. Agreed. Make it a sticky with the AL Central and MLB threads.
  8. Then why did KW say he was trying to trade for him before the July 31st deadline?
  9. He should be charged and locked up. I'm sure he'll contribute to society in a positive way for the rest of his life.
  10. I don't think it's too early to make an opinion about his bloated contract. That is who he is supposed to be replacing, right? I wish Ozzie would be content with sticking him in CF however.
  11. People are posting about him in the appropriate forum. Your beef should be with caufield talking about old players in the PHT. LMAO. Javy Vasquez is such a loser by having a reliever give up a double to clear the bases !! Seriously, Vazquez doesn't deserve all the blame, and if he was on the Sox right now he'd be 14-6, of course I'm assuming the Sox are still a sub .500 at the moment.
  12. It also shows how he has the opportunity to pad his numbers. He's responsible for Thornton and Floyd getting losses when they really didn't deserve one.
  13. So I guess the Braves don't look so silly for dumping the overrated Kotchman for LaRoche. LaRoche's SLG is higher than Kotchman's OPS since the trade.
  14. More ways stats for relievers can be misleading, Thornton got the loss last night. http://soxmachine.com/sots2009/2009/09/01/...-4-white-sox-3/ Hand him a mop
  15. Right, which is why we said 56 at-bats. THAT'S A f***ING 3 YEAR TREND
  16. Swisher away from yankee stadium: .285 .366 .618 .985 19 HR's in 63 games.
  17. He's ugly, horrible defensively, and is getting old. Screw 'em.
  18. Also 16K's in 56 at-bats. Over his typical season that would be 184 k's. ....and people thought Swisher K'd a lot......and people thought Swisher was owed a lot of money....
  19. Don't forget College BB and College FB
  20. So is Kevin Mulvey a better prospect than Brandon Allen? That's what Minny gave up for Jon Rauch. Mulvey was part of that horrible Johan Santana package. Deolis Guerra has a 5.49 ERA in AA, Humber has been DFA twice and went unclaimed, and Carlos Gomez is complete trash except against the Sox.
  21. ..and when 28 teams find out that's the starting price they'll easily surpass the offer.
  22. Rios, Dye and KW aren't with you.

Man, no love for Jackie Brown?
  24. He already got a video when he came back with the Twins with their first USCF road game this year. If people feel he deserves more, perhaps being a spokesman for some strip club that airs commercials on 670 the score will be enough. 2005 4 LYFE!
