What's "team speed"? We have NONE! Haven't for years. We are TOO reliant on the home run, and are station-to-station on the base paths; thats why the Sox cannot "manufacture" runs.

We can realistically upgrade at C, 1b, 2B, ss, 3B, plus we need to replace Shony and maybe Garland in the starting rotation, and Jackson, Adkins in the Pen, plus our bench sucks. Other than that, the Sox are in great shape. :headshake

I have no problem with Cosby's message...what I DO have a problem with, is calling him a comedian. The guy hasn't said/done anything remotely funny in years!

If this were any other team, I'd agree with you. Last year, we offerred Bartolo Colon, $39 million, he didn't accept it...did the Sox spend that $39 mill on other free agents? NO! It went right into JR's coffers. That's where the Mags money is gonna go, if they don't use it to sign Ordonez.

Here's an interesting story that has some relevance here. (Heard it from Kevin Matthews' show a long time ago!) In the 80s, Thayer was hanging out at a bar in LA, he was approached by Raymond Burr (Perry Mason), and propositioned by Burr. That's why Kevin used to use a Raymond Burr voice when mocking gay men. BTW...I don't think Thayer is gay, not that it matters!

Harry Caray sucked!!! He knew very little about the game, even less post-stroke! If you wanted to know if Jimmy Gallios was at the game, or that Harrah spelled backwards is harraH, Harry was your man...if you wanted some insight about what was happenning on the field, he sucked!
