Rosenthal's best and worst moves of the offseason
whitesoxin' replied to SSH2005's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) The best and worst of the off-season moves http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5328022 Ironically some guy said the Wagner signing was the best move of the offseason. -
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Proof yet again Chicago Cub players and their fans don't care about the White Sox. I always loved hearing Cubs fans tell me that we were the only ones worried about the other team and that the Cubs couldn't care less about the Sox.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) Nahhhh, I have my 9 games in the upper tank. I was just looking for some 1/2 price lowers for cheap. The other Monday games don't make sense for me, since I'm going to other games right around the same dates. The July 3rd one was THE ONE, but TicketAsshole didn't let that happen. I got some decent bleacher seats for July 3.

Ozzie article in the new Sports Illustrated
whitesoxin' replied to Al Lopez's Ghost's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:42 PM) Apparently, Ozzie asked the Sox to set up the press conference so he could apologize for his comments. Ozzie said that he felt embarrassed and guilty about the situation. Should this be in green? ------- On another note, Urbina has had a very tough life, and I don't think what he did was as bad as it seems. It said in the article that baseball players are often targetted for crime in Venezula and his father was killed in 1994 while the murderers were stealing his car and in 2004 his mother was kid-napped. None of us will ever know what life is like down there, it sounds brutal. -
QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) wow. Maybe it's just me, but seeing that sentence made me think, "that was 5 years ago already?!" Wow, i still don't believe it was that long ago 4.5 years. Does that sound better?

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Flight 93 will be better, bar none. Paul Greengrass is a wonderful man to make such a movie. Flight 93 was a great movie. I watched all those specials on A&E and they were all very well done.

My dad and I got four games. About 10 more years until I can buy my own season tickets..

QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) = too delicous for words. Ewwww My sister brought those home for me from Germany, and they are quite possibly the worst gummi candy I've ever eaten. If I want Cola, I'll drink a cola and not eat a gummi.

I'm basically in the same position as SoxFan1. My choices are: University of Chicago Washington University (St. Louis) DePaul Butler IU Marquette DePaul and Butler are probably my top two choices because I have full ride tuition to those schools, along with all the other ones listed on this website. It would be hard to turn down University of Chicago or Washington University if I get accepted however. I still have over a year to decide so we'll see what happens.

Beltre and Burnett.

QUOTE(Beastly @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 05:40 PM) I think this whole thing about Ozzie not being able to attend is being made into a huge deal by the media. I think that in its ownself is very pointless and stupid. The man had a committment, so let everyone deal with it. He has also changed his family's plans twice already because the White House kept switching the day that this was going to be hosted. That is what Wilbon said on PTI.

Was this on a show or is it just random pictures?

Nothing here I hate winter and snow, this year has been a very nice suprise.

Saw "When a stranger calls" tonight. The first 70 minutes of the movie suck and aren't scary at all, but the last 15 to 20 minutes are pretty damn good. If you're a female, especially an attractive HS female, you will be scared s***less by this movie probably.

The Diamonbacks 2006 Spring Training logo says "2001 World Series Champions" on it. It's a common thing to do for teams going into Spring Training apparently. We just never had much to brag about before. Don't get too worked up, folks.

The best Jimmy John's meal ever is 2 Slim 5's with mustard and mayo packets. MMMmmm And who doesn't like their bread? How can you say that? Subway's bread is sooo s***ty, but JJ's is amazingly awesome.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) God I love being a Sox fan. ^Yeah that^ One of my friends who is a Cubs fan had one comeback all winter to my "World Champs" and "Cubs screw their fans" arguments, and it was that the Cubs were giving their fans a free look at the game with the knothole. hahahaha Filthy scumbags.

I love being in High School. This is unfortunate, hopefully my dad can get some at work, but he is computer illiterate.

I write mostly all in cursive. It is so much faster to write everything down. It has a nice flow to it. When I use print my wrist starts to hurt because I'm trying to write fast like I do in cursive. It amazes me how I'm basically the only person I know that writes in cursive.

Gordon scores 35 which makes it two games in a row with 35 or more points. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) Want a laugh? Go read the Seahawks scout board....they are calling Holmgren a hero for not shaking Cowher's hand, saying they hope the refs die in a plane crash on the way home, and saying the NFL rigged the game WWE style so the popular east coast team would win. It's a hilarious and over the top meltdown. Link? -

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 05:04 PM) I picked the Steelers to beat the Bears in the Superbowl before the playoffs began, so obviously I think they are a great team. Steelers 20 Seahawks 13 Meh I was close. This game sucked, and I was playing poker during the whole thing. Unfortunately, I was up $150 at one point and ended up being dead even. -
