I know it was an early start, but Comerica park is e-m-p-t-y. There's seriously about eight people at the game.

I feared that our plan might be too transparent for some, that they would see our real motivation, and damned if some people here aren't a little too smart for their own good. We really don't care about sig sizes, we just want to wrestle control of the boards away from Jason. This was just the first step in a plan for board (and possibly, world) domination, but now that Mr. El Pierzdyenikguchoatmealrasinsupercrunch has seen right through it, it doesn't matter anymore. Once we get everyone to make their sigs smaller, we can move on to Phase Two. I can't even begin to divulge the details of Phase Two, but rest assured there will be changes that will give you nightmares, or at least make you hungry. All of this while Jason is on a surprise trip to Europe. Oh yes, he has no idea Mr. El, and that's what makes it so delicious.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) I'm considering it also, but considering when most of the games are, I'll be at Uni 3 times a week, I'm not sure if it's really worth it. Plus of course there's the usual distractions from things you should be doing like work. Oh I don't do that stuff anyway so it's not really an issue.

QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 03:08 AM) Personally, I'm back on the mlb.tv plan. I've cursed those bastards out the last 2 years for continuing to charge me for "Highlights Packages" 2 months after the season ends, and here I am right back using it. sigh.....its hard being a White Sox fan in South Carolina sometimes... I got it for the first time this year, and it's so worth it. I'm addicted, I've watched about 10 games in 2 days.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Poor Jose. Booted a ball that allowed 2 runs for sf to score and win the game. Well it was only one run that scored from the error, they got one the next inning off of Carrara's error. But still, Jose was the goat.

Kelly Wunsch sighting in SF, pitching for the Dodgers. That makes four former White Sox that have played in this game so far; Durham, Valentin, Eyre, and now Wunsch.

Rowand says there's no selfish players on the Sox

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) Apparently, real easy. I mean seriously.. paper sales would suck if they didn't manufacture some controversy, right..? It was more rhetorical, but I get what you mean. -

How can you turn in a story with a sentence like that with a straight face? "We know"? What the hell? And beyond that, what kind of editor looks at that and says, "great go with that."? -
One thing I got out of that game: The 3-point line needs to be moved back.

Smallball can definitely be boring, but it is fulfilling when they do it right. I'd rather they be boring and win than be exciting and lose. Besides, a sac fly when it's close and late is pretty exciting to me.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Where in the hell did you hear that? Oh yeah I heard about that too, he's gone down to Texas to train with his brother. I think he hired an agent too.

Damian Moss, DBAH0 will be crushed. -

Oliver Perez is one of the weirdest pitchers I've ever seen. Carlos, in his first AB in the outfield, overruns a bloop.

That's really all he can do, I think. The window is closing on this team's WS chances, and if he screws with his mechanics he might start giving up massive amounts of runs, which would actually be worse than being hurt.

Wow this ruins my day, you hate to see talented people (or anyone, I suppose) go so young. But the most brilliant ones are always the ones who live closest to the edge. RIP Mitch, you were damn funny.

I guess it's like spending a long time on a painting or something and then having someone destroy it. There's gonna be some anger involved. It's not justification for murder, but I can definitely see the frustration arising from something like that. I don't think it matters whether a cyber sword is property that can stolen, that's kinda stupid. But there must be some kind of retrobution for f***ing with someone's life like that. Edit: Really, though, people need to look at the big picture in a situation like this.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 03:10 AM) Would you rather have him or mutumbo? Mutombo, between the nets (buyout) and rockets, makes around $18.8 million. I'd rather have Mutombo if I was the Rockets. 4.5 million isn't bad, considering how well he's been playing lately.
