  1. So this is what the game would be like if I had no ears.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) The mistake by the lake I actually like the place. Hell of a lot better than it used to be. But thats another debate for another time.
  3. These pics are about 3 or 4 years old. Check out soldier field. It's in the middle of the construction that took place in 2002. Soldier Fieldhttp://maps.google.com/maps?q=1410+S.+Muse...20685&t=k&hl=en
  4. Outside of the whole bizarre dinosaur thing (which he has the right to believe what he wants), Carl seems like a decent and normal guy.
  5. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) I was sitting here watching the Cardinals-Reds game and the Reds were up 6-5 in the ninth there were men on second and third with one out and with first base open they int walked Larry Walker to load the bases for Albert Pujols and guess what he did hit into a frickin Doulbe play. s*** happens.
  6. I'd understand having a problem with Timo batting 5th every game (in fact, I'd have a problem with Timo simply playing every game). But it was one spot start. Timo has come up with some big hits against the Twins and appears to see the ball well in Minnesota. I'd actually call it a decent move by Ozzie.
  7. You got a string of right handers in the middle of the lineup. I'm guessing that he just wanted Timo to break up the monotony. And yes, it appeared to work. So whats the problem?
  8. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) He's probably mine too, I loved graff when he was here. Ultimate team player. The guy did everything we asked him to do. He was also a stand-up guy.
  9. To answer the original post, the way I approach that scenario is who I think we are better off with right now. I don't want to think of what it would be like to not have Freddie in our rotation right now. I also know that our outfield is pretty stocked as far as talent goes. And while I think Jeremy Reed will be a great player, I'm pretty comfortable with our OF situation. As far as Olivo and AJ go, Miggy has a ton of talent, but at this moment I have little doubt that AJ is the better overall catcher (average, power, defense, game calling). Bottom line is, I think both the Sox and the Mariners should be happy about who they have in these players.
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Disprove that statement. Pudge? I may be wrong, but hasn't IRod been criticized in recent years for his poor game calling ability? I swear that was the knock against him when he was a free agent before last season.
  11. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) Good call. Was there anybody that was more annoying during the Bulls championship years? Lets hope he isn't calling any of our playoff games this year.
  12. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) That sucks...I look forward to watching the game in High Def....lets go Sox! SWEEP! High Def =
  13. This is the sad part of my Sox fandom talking... ...I have to admit that this loss somewhat eases the pain of yesterdays meltdown. Not sure why, but it just does.
  14. Hawk and DJ talking about Peralta's first name. Just called him Ja-honny.
  15. Garcia wasn't at the top of his game, but good pitchers are able to succeed when they aren't at there best. To give up only 2 runs to a great hitting team without his best stuff was a good sign.
  16. Call me out of work. I'll get right over there.
  17. Going to both games. Do they have beer in Milwaukee?
  18. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) the score? the good? the bad? the ugly? The score: 13-0 Sox The good: Konerko, Everett, Rowand and Crede with homers. 2 hits off Sox pitching today. The bad: Diamondbacks pitching The ugly: Chris Widger. He is an ugly man.
  19. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Like I said, I may be wrong. I knew someone would prove that. Sorry. Had to confirm. By the way, Jon Adkins is quietly having a solid game. Just a little too late for Jon.
  20. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) I may be wrong, but I think he might be the color guy for the Mariners. Not according to their website. http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...rs.jsp?c_id=sea
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) No doubt about it. What its TP doing now? Last I knew he was doing fill in work, has he caught on anywhere? I think he filled in at Detroit and Atlanta in recent years. Not sure what he's doing now.
