That Dodgers/Giants game on Sunday nights was one of the best games I've watched in a couple years. God I love vintage Maddux.

Becket is hype. The matchups are just fine for the Tigers in this series. Schilling can be beaten, Beckett gets hit almost every start (despite the hype) and who knows what Boomer Wells you'll get.

Download the Show Last week Jason and Mario declared the upcoming week vs the Angels, Yanks, and Tigers the biggest weekof the season. They explained why the games against the Tigers mattered and after completing the sweep the Sox have cut the deficit to 5.5. But that doesn't mean all is fine and dandy on the Southside as the Sox still need to get consistent quality starts out of their horses, but progress has been made with two big weeks of AL Central play on the horizon (KC, Min, Det, Min). QUOTE(Soxy @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) You should be with someone that WANTS to be with you. Not someone that every couple of months changes her mind. Find someone that wants to commit to you without breaking up with you first, changing her mind, and blah, blah, blah. That's just not a healthy relationship. And do try to stay friends. By doing that it will probably reinforce WHY you shouldn't be together. I think this post says it all. You can't force thing and if she doesn't want to "be" with you than so be it, than it may not be meant to be. Someone else will come along cause to go between she likes you, she doesn't like you, well #1 its not healthy and #2 it gets old real fast. Plus, at yourg stage in the life its not worth it to miss out on plenty of good times to deal with games. Just go out and have fun, spend time with your friends and enjoy things. Its really out of your hands, so nothing you can worry about.

A BIG f***ING WIN!!!!

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) lately our midinfield tries to catch everything...you are absolutely spot on At the same time, the middle infielder is taught to go until he hears someone calling him off. My guess is BA didn't call him off or it wasn't hurt by Juan. Bobby gets the pop out so we are an out away from a sweep and a 5.5 game deficit
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) Official scorer very nice not to give BA his first career error. I don't see how that could possibly be ruled an error, considering the impending colission. It should have been caught though (By Juan or BA...obviously BA should have been the one who got it).
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) Yep, if he can't catch it, then he needs to get out of the way. Uribe could have caught it. Problem was they both could have and they were running at full speed. That could have been far uglier so I'll take the non catch there and hope Bobby can come in and do his job.
-
Thorty does his job....it be nice to get some runs, but its gonna be up to Jenksy
-
Thorty coming in.
-
Real soft single and now Guillen is up. I'm scared, come on Sox.
-
Pudge is going absolutely nuts and Guillen saves him from doing something worse. One thing I fear is this motivates the tigers, so lets just keep shutting em down.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) I don't disagree. Though I would be hesitant to use "good" and "Freddy" in the same sentence. Paulie That should be it for Miner
-
Miner is throwing strikes, but he can't be out much longer. Good 2 strike hitter here Paulie...opp field time.
-
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) I can't wait til the post game when we have to hear how good Freddy looked in the game. This is the exact type of start I take from Freddy all year long. He's not the dominant pitcher he once was, he's gave us innings and will try and give us another while keeping the team in the game. Thats all you can ask for out of Freddy at this point, he doesn't have the stuff to go out and WIN games, but he's fully capable of keeping you in games and giving the team a chance to win the game.
-
Excellent, Freddy stayed away to dead pull Casey (right now he's dead pull) and we got him to try and pull it and it resulted in a weak pop up to CF. By far the best inning of the game by Freddy and my guess is we'll see him out in the 7th, but he'll be on a short hook. He's well under 100 pitches right now.
-
QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:49 PM) How many pitches did he throw yesterday? The Sox are going to be very careful with him considering his recent history of arm trouble. Monroe GAWN, 2 down. And he didn't give him anything to pull, way to go Freddy.
-
Just don't give Monroe a pitch to pull. Thats like throwing a fastball to Jose Valentin (the man that could not hit a curve ball to save his life). Monroe is a dead pull hitter, stay away away away.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) If this inning gets to Inge, I hope the bullpen faces him. Why, Inge has helped Freddy twice.
