Thats what I call winning baseball. We played defense, had the timely hitting (we crushed lackey more so than the box score would show, although he got strong after giving up those runs) and got a stellar pitching performance out of Contreras (who was using the fork ball a lot more...THANK YOU). Thats playoff type baseball and we are going to need to see a whole lot more of that if we want to make some noise.

Its better and I got to admit, I'm feeling a lot better because Vazquez/Garland/Contreras when pitching like they have been the past couple starts give us 3 formidable guys to throw out in the playoffs. When it comes to Buehrle/Garcia I got very little faith. Same can be said for anyone in our pen not named MacDougall, Thorton or Jenks.

I remember that day, being woken up by mom who said a plane crashed into the WTC. I assumed it was an accident and a small prop plane that must of hit it but than turned on FoxNews just before the 2nd plane hit and than the first tower fell. I had my 2nd or 3rd week of college that morning so I listened to it in the car and went to my first class and than the campus was closed so I went to my dad's office where we all watched the news for the entire day. Prayers go out to all of those that were effected on that tragic day :prays

Well I guess I should be happy that Peyton won (even though I hate him). I was rooting for the Giants, but in the big picture its good for the Bears that both the Cowboys and Giants lost (afterall, while I expect the Bears to win the division, its always good when two teams that will likely be in the thick of the playoff race lose).

Gonna sit down and watch it right now.

I figure people may not see Wharris's post in the catch all anything thread so I thought I'd make a thread about it. The Sox appear to have made there final callups as Josh Fields (3B/OF), Jerry Owens (LF), Sean Tracey (RHP), and Razor Shines (Coach) have all been called up and will be in the dugout starting today.

Saints are dominating right now, but are only up 6-0. They were one of my sleeper teams entering the season (not that I think they'll make the playoffs, but they have some pretty damn good offensive weapons, only thing is I think there defense will keep em out of the post-season).

Joe is in the lineup today though so hopefully his back will be alright.

Come on Sox, lets take this series and bring some momentum to Anaheim where I'll be in attendance following my first day at my first real job (ie the kind that is no longer just a part time gig).

I'm liking Razorlight. Its kind of odd and I've only listened to it a few times, but kind of a unique sounding band. I almost say they are like an odd type of She Wants Revenge but I may be off-base in saying that but they have a hint of something I've heard before mixed with something unique.

LB had a great start and the Knights had a very strong season. I'm glad Charlotte was finally able to get a winning season under there belt cause its been a few years.

Does anyone else think that Troy Smith and Reggie Bush have some sort of resemblance.
