QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Tendinitis in the right wrist. He had a cortisone shot in Chicago today. I have that in both wrists. I had surgery on one. I will probably have it on the other this winter. You can function but it can be hard to grip things. The cortisone may help for the time being but eventually, it will have to be addressed. I play golf three times a week if that gives you some idea of how functional you can be but hitting 400 ft. bombs is a little harder than hitting a golf ball. That may be what I've had. I messed my wrist up playing football but it healed for the most part and now I'm getting some symptoms similar to what I looked up on web md. The past few months I've been playing golf about 3 times a week so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Oh despite all that golf (for the first time in my life) I still stink at times while at other times I'll hit an ocassional 300 yard drive right down the fairway, pitch onto the middle of the green and get a par.

Best strip clubs in Chicagoland?
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Rhino is so touristy and overrated its disgusting. The guys outnumber the girls, and the prices are outrageous. In Vegas my picks are Jaguar and Crazy Horse Too. CHT gives you the best lapdances. CHT is the other top notch one in Vegas, imo (was there for a short time as my strip club advisors, aka friends, decided Rhino was better). Wasn't in there long enough though to have an opinion and I saw both on the same night. I thought the "girls" were better at the Rhino but I couldn't tell ya guys anything about VIP service or private dances or nothing like that (way too cheap for that). I liked the fact that I could smoke my cigar at the Rhino though (I assume you can do it pretty much anywhere in Vegas).

Mel Gibson arrested for DUI
QUOTE(Jake @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) And I'm going to be laughing just as hard then. I'm not saying I agree with the comments at all, but I still found the whole thing hillarious. In fact he's already moved ahead of Wil Ferrell in my "Funny Man" rankings.

Best strip clubs in Chicagoland?
QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 05:32 AM) Pfftt... I'm far, faaaarrrr from the most knowledgeable around here. But I do tend to know something about most things seedy. You know I'm the last to ask, considering we had a road trip where we were staying right next to the strip club district and didn't realize it until the last night All I can vouge for is the Rhino in Vegas.

Do we have any WWE fans here?
QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) I used to watch it a ton before the merge. I never really liked WWF i was more of a WCW guy. I LOVED Sting and the NWO wolf pack! Those guys were Bad Ass! Scott Hall was my favorite. Too bad he had a ton of problems or at least thats what I heard. Of course I never know what the hell is true and what isn't.

Detroit Tigers World Series Thread
QUOTE(loltrain @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) I find it hilarious that Motownsports is considered to be full of Kool-Aid drinking people mapping out a parade route...when nearly half the board goes insane and talks about how the team is collapsing after EVERY LOSS. That description couldn't be any more inaccurate, if anything it is full of fans who are used to failure and still half expect it. Anyways, tonights loss was not too suprising, the Tigers main weakness all year is a great tendency to flail at breaking pitches out of the strike zone, so Casey Fossum looked like Cy Young. Edit: Honestly, I would consider Motownsports at this moment just as pessimistic as this board, and we're 7.5 games up in the division, I only post here because...well shockingly enough I like talking about baseball, and I find this forum to be mostly smart fans who know what they're talking about, Motownsports is quite similar in my opinion. We like having ya and most of the Tiger fans here. You guys bring another perspective and add to the intelligent discussion on this site.

The Tribune makes me sick....
I'm sorry, but that was a stellar deal for the Cubs. I've watched Itzuris play a whole lot and when he's healthy I think he's better than Uribe. However, he doesn't havethe power Uribe has or the arm, but Itzuris is an absolute STUD at SS (so is Juan in my book). I've watched Itzuris a lot and he's the type of guy that while he may not draw a ton of walks, he'll be able to hit .280-.300 although I'd be the first to admit his injuries have had an effect on him. But you guys drastically under-rate this guy (and this is when people will say that I over-rate him). There is a reason why teams were going nuts to acquire him. Put it this way, if someone called me and offered Itzuris for El Duque I'd have done it in a heart beat. Maddux isn't all that much better than Duque at this point. He's a mediocre pitcher and you were able to get a guy that plays stellar defense and is not near as bad of a hitter as a lot of you all say (plus he has a ton of speed).

Brokeback Joker?
The last one was my favorite of all batmans, so I got no problem with them rehashing another one of the old's and kind of re-doing the whole thing. As long as they don't start getting cheesier and cheesier like the originals got.

Owned at the beach..
The girl is naked and probably figures no one would ever notice, but instead she's standing behind Penelope Cruz (or at least I think thats who it is) so the media is taking a ton of pictures.

I-Pod help!
QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) I've tried doing that, and it said that the I-Pod was being update in I-Tunes and the I-Pod itself said "Do no disconnect" but then the songs weren't loaded. It takes a long while. The other thing I'd do, just go into the apple store they are real friendly and helpful. Just tell them whats up and they will probably explain things. You may just have to reset the ipod and reinstall everything.

QUOTE(rowand @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) pods and mack are two of the worst outfielders I have EVER seen. Dye is above average. Anderson is well above average. Pods and Mack will continue to cost us runs, but if they can get on base, I guess we will have to take it... Mack is actually a pretty damn solid corner outfielder. The problem is we are trying to put him in CF. Just think if we moved Dye over and asked him to play center. I understand slamming Pods' defense but Mack doesn't deserve to be slammed. Mack is trying his best and its not his fault the manager is putting him in a position that he can't possible succeed at.- 7/31 White Sox v. Royals
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) I was watching ESPN the other night and Ortiz has an incredible amout of walk off hits the past 3 seasons. It almost would make me walk him and get to Ramirez. Ya how ridiculously clutch has he been. He's more clutch than JOSE- Thome
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Why do I look at Thome and thing any joint pain he may have is probably the gout? I think back to King of the Hill where Bobby Hill gets gout- 7/31 White Sox v. Royals
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) Black Mack is a back of the pen type. True, I just like the idea of using him a lot so he gets his stamina up a bit and maybe with all that work he could find a feel for all his pitches. Something he's really lacked all season. Plus I have some concerns if we do throw him into our rotation next year because he'd have had a down season this year in terms of innings pitched and I would have prefered to see him in the pen for part of the year and than again in the rotation for part of the year so that he could have continued to build arm strength and stamina the right way. Bmac is young so we do need to be careful and giving him some innings may help us now and in the future (next few years).- 7/31 White Sox v. Royals
QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) FOCKING Awesome for JC not giving up that run! I hope the whole pitching staff was watching He definately stepped up, but that has to be about the most pitches any starter has thrown in baseball all season (especially for the Sox). 123 or so.- 7/31 White Sox v. Royals
QUOTE(BamaDoc @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) Four run lead is made for back of the pen guys. I'd rather throw Bmac at this for a few innings. He's capable of it and if all goes well he's the only guy we'd have to use. That or Mac one and MacDougall one. No reason to use our main guys and Cotts needs a freaking rest cause he has been stinking it up. - no more swearing?
