Grudz extended his hitting streak with a single after Dejesus was retired. Royals are playing thin since they made quite a few trades today and the guys they got from the Rockies have not arrived.

Gload is such a good pure hitter. He goes with the pitch and the SS makes a great play but can't throw him out (SS did possibly save a run, doubt it considering it was PK running) and he gets an RBI single. Runners on the corners for CRede

I don't care if other teams wouldn't give what we want, if they don't than we don't make the trade. We weren't forced to make a trade. If Oswalt or Schmidt were legitimately out there than yes, I think we should have made a run at them, but odds are we didn't have what the opponents wanted.

I wouldn't be shocked if we picked up a reliever and moved Bmac to AAA or immediately into the rotation with one of our starters getting a rest (whether its Freddy or Buehlre). However, unless we were getting Schdmit or Oswalt none of these deals really made sense because we would only go as far as our pitching staff.

I think he's a .300 hitter who will play solid defense but he won't hit a ton of HR's and not many teams are willing to part with power when it comes to 1st base.
