Kenny Fires Back At Frank
QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) I completely understand where KW is coming from with all of this, but man, I really didn't want to see this situation get this ugly.....and so fast. I really hope this stuff cools down, but with the media probably already on it, this thing is going to get even uglier. Not exactly what we need going into ST. Last year it was Maggs and the team somehow won a World Series, now Frank. Hopefully we can win one again, lol.

Kenny Fires Back At Frank
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2345972 Thank you Kenny. I couldn't agree more with the Good Riddance quote. ROFL. Its kind of how I started to feel about Frank later in his career. It stinks too cause he was such an amazing player.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 11:22 AM) I don't like it. Alex deserves a lot of credit. He was the person who would push me and say this looks bad or this looks good. Especially the last day or so, he forced me to get rid of some things that I was too lazy to do cause of the complications of the coding. Somehow I figured out how to do it. Wouldn't have been the case if Heads didn't just annoy the hell out of me to get it accomplished

Now I'll quickly highlight a few things that will be coming in the near future: - Wallpaper page (this way you'll be able to find all the great Wallpapers that the people on Soxtalk have made) - Salary page (this was already mentioned, but it will detail the salary each player makes as well as there contractual status) - US Cellular page (talking a bit about the stadium and the area around the park; this one will take a little more time to put together) With that said, is there anything else people would be interested in?

By the way, I updated the links so now when you click the ones that take you to the board they won't open in a new window but directly take you there. We still have one more link section left that will be something like ST Favorites and I'm going to leave that up to you all. What type of links would you like up to take you to some of your favorite baseball/whitesox related pages?

It is now set as the front page of the site. One thing I'd like to point out is that if you want to get to the message boards directly, just bookmark: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums Also note that it may take a little bit of time before you start getting the new redirect to the front page simply due to cache stuff.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) Do I have to re-register my user name. I am trying to log in to the main page and it keeps telling me there is an error. The registration is completely seperate. I'm debating for not even having it up or for leaving it up. If you do register I think you can set it up where stories get emailed to you and stuff like that. I have no idea if anyone would even be interested in that. So you guys tell me cause aside from that there is no reason to register there and I don't want people to be confused cause the logins and usernames would be different. It would have been cool if I could have tied it in.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) That looks great Jason. So is that going to be the site we're directed to when we go to "soxtalk.com"? I'm assuming so, but when I just typed it in again I still came directly to the forums. Most likely yes...although I own soxtalk.net so I may just point one to the forums and one to the site so people can directly link to each.

Soxtalk.com Proudly Presents
Soxtalk Front Page When Soxtalk.com first launched, it was the goal for the site to be the premiere message board of SoxNet.net (the news portion of Soxtalk). SoxNet.net eventually closed down and since than Soxtalk has stood out on its own becoming one of the most powerful independent major league fan sites on the net. With all the new members, Soxtalk has finally taken its first step towards becoming a one stop place for all things White Sox. From the message board that you've all come to love to our new news page which has RSS feeds from almost all of the major publications that are automatically updated with the latest news stories. This front page will also be the sister news site of FutureSox.com and will carry FutureSox's news stories as well as original Soxtalk content. The goal is to be able to provide fans the ability to access major news stories at one spot (via ESPN, The Trib, The Suntimes) and you can also check out stories from Cheat's blog (the stories take you to what is the best White Sox blog on the net). In the near future we will have an excel page detailing the financial and contractual status of White Sox players and we will also have information about the Cell, Tuscon Electric Park, and potential places to visit around the park. We hope that in the near future the main page will become just a part of your daily navigation as the forums have came over the years. So please, check out the new front page and leave feedback here. If there are features not on there that you'd like to see, please tell us as we will do our best to make this place a really good resource center for Sox news. And I would just like to say thanks for all those that visit the site and make this place what it is. Also wanted to note that we'll have a new piece pretty much every day this week detailing certain position battles and we'll continue to update the readers with our opinion of whose leading certain position battles. Enjoy

Heads will be making a rather big site announcement and release whenever he feels like it tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully everyone will like the new addition to the site. I just finished up the final details thanks to some graphic stuff from deploder and Showtime.

Official NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 12:36 AM) Does he have MVP numbers? Without question. But you gotta have the team success to go with it. I can't even remember the last time a player won the MVP and his team didn't win atleast 50 games. The Lakers are all of 1 game over .500. And their schedule is pretty tough the rest of the way. The 5 guys I've mentioned are not only dominating invidually, they've got the team success to go with it. Take Kobe away and there is no doubt in my mind they have the worse record in the league. Kobe's having a huge season and he's the only reason the Lakers are where they are.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) Oh give me a break. I'll sport an Iowa sig for 2 months if Iowa wins, instead of 2 weeks. I want players, alford, everything in it - a real sweet one. But if i were you i'd save my time. You'll be regretting those comments by Saturday night

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) Brian Hill finally came to his senses and brought in Darko Milicic instead of Mario Kasun as the 1st big off the bench. It's about f***in time. And Dwight has 9 rebounds in the 1st quarter. I love that dude. Hey Andrew...get off your butt and sign up for our keeper league

Did Some ReArranging
Lets try keeping WBC stuff in the Diamond Club forum but if it turns out there is a lot of discussion we can always create a WBC subforum in the Diamond Club forum. For now my suggestion is starting and pinning a thread for all WBC discussion (well u start it and we'll pin it). Sound fair?

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) So it appears i have a super gay Hawkeye logo in my signature...too bad it will be gone tomorrow night when Dee and James roll Iowa out of town. Nah...once that happens it will be up double. If not than I am more than willing to put up a freaking orange one. If Iowa wins you better watch out....I may get even more fancy with my sig and create a Rally Hawkeye

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) But they b**** even when the crowd all should be standing up and making noise, including Krush. They never want to stand, cheer, or wear orange. It's pathetic. Now thats sig work at its finest
