  1. I hope Shingo gets honored at some point or another. Maybe he'll be at the ring ceremony at the start of next year. Dustin was rather quiet, surprising.
  2. I'm just so used to being wrong that I figured Mike had to be right. Cool, I think Hawk will be pumped. This is awesome.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 09:46 AM) No way, its gotta be gene honda. Your right, but I guarantee Hawk will be doing something.
  4. Most everyone thats a part of the organization will get one. Anyone that played a game with the Sox and everyone on the 40 man roster. Plus scouts, most employees. Its up to the team in terms of employees. Some teams really go out there and give them to almost everyone in the org.
  5. I'm looking forward to hearing Hawk, I bet he will announce the players.
  6. QUOTE(SHAFTR @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 09:32 AM) One of the buses has a sign that says "Lee" on it. What Lee is on the team? Man Soo Lee
  7. For those wondering who Smith was (I think someone asked) I assume they are referring to Matt Smith. I saw Paulino Reynoso's number on there and I now am assuming that the entire 40 man roster is here.
  8. I have it on my dvr. Both WGn and ESPN news. Of course I started it a little late. Its only been recording for about 20 minutes.
  9. Did anyone see Crazy Carl....I gotta admit, he definately knows how to crack me up. ESPN news has pretty good coverage as well, just flipped it over there. There you can hear the background of thunderstruck. This is just awesome...I'm getting misty eyed just watching it and thinking back about how great this season has been. Its really starting to sink in.
  10. Guys, if Bud Selig new about this, they wouldn't have named Jermaine Dye the MVP. There wereo ther potential candidates he could have given it to. I know someone else mentioned this, but I thought it deserved mention again. Therefor, I say it could be either Pods or Rowand, but not Dye. I still doubt its anyone on the Sox. In fact, I'm going to go with Steve Finley accidentally taking a supplement.
  11. I would be shocked if either were dealt.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) No, but many Hispanic and Mediterranean cultures do. I highly doubt you've lived in America for this long and don't know that normally American Fathers don't kiss their sons on the lips. Usually a hug is about as far as it goes with American fathers and sons. But European's and latino and other cultures don't feel that way. It all depends on the countries culture.
  13. Going to be merging everything into here.
  14. I guess if the Sox opted to go with Brian Anderson as a starter, its not a bad idea to have a guy like Everett as a backup option. The thing is, I dont' want the Sox to go that route. I honestly don't mind giving Anderson another half a season to season in Chicago, bringing him up again late next year and giving him a little more time. I have no problem slowly easing him to the majors. I still he has things he can work on down in AAA and while it would be beneficial to be playing everyday in the majors, I still think he needs some more AAA ab's.
  15. I was 2 when the Bears won the Super Bowl...that has moved up to next on my sports priority list. I'll tell you guys whether I'm a Hawks fan or not at some point this year. I've narrowed my choices to Dallas, Boston, Chicago and Detroit. I like the history of the teams (well Boston, Chicago and Detroit) and when it comes to each team they also have a player I really like (Modano, Thorton, Chicago city factor, and than Chelios and Dasyuk).
  16. I want a World Series tshirt and hooded sweater.
  17. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 08:31 AM) Obviously Konerko is the Sox number 1 priority and Thomas is number 2. However I think they have to try to sign Everett. He has been key to this team. he is a leader in the clubhouse and he might be a very good guy to come off the bench. He would also come pretty cheap. He brings an attitude to the clubhouse that was key to this team. Just like Pierzynksi that brought a swagger to this team. I also have a feeling he wants to come back. Git r done Kenny. Honestly, I see no reason to resign Carl Everett. If he's being resigned, I'm going to be real afraid because that tells that the Sox lost Konerko and made no attempt to find a replacement for the DH and potentially didn't do anything to replace Konerko and decided to move Dye to 1st and go with Anderson in RF. If Everett is brought back, the only way it would make sense is as a starter (or platoon DH) and quite frankly I don't want to see that happen. Plus, I honestly don't think he likes being on the bench. I thank him for what he's done on the southside and will always applaud him, but I think this is the last we've seen of him, unless of course someone goes down and the club trades for him again

  19. My god...and to think I'll never hear the end of always making fun of my mom for tivoing that show if I actually watch it.
  20. I thought this belonged over in the Season in Review Section, simply because it was such a great thread, but its also the epitome of what was the 2005 World Champion White Sox
  21. I wouldn't think about trading Aaron. Once again, he's getting way under-valued, imo. People have too high of expectations for Anderson, at least right away, and quite frankly, Anderson won't touch Aaron defensively and thats not a knock on Anderson. Aaron Rowand = A White Sox and he's not going to be going anywhere, you can take that to the bank.
  22. He was also in Anaheim for at least one of the games. I remember seeing him.
