  1. Happy Birthday Alex Hope all is well!!!!
  2. Excuse me I meant to say Georgia not Georgia Tech.
  3. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 31, 2005 -> 06:57 AM) Wow. There is still no chance of AA getting back into the game is there? It's funny cuz like a year before the Enron scandal broke, one of my HS teachers told us how his son-in-law was offered a great job at AA but turned it down and he didn't understand why. I guess he lucked out on that one. No, AA isn't allowed to practice. The only AA employees left are the attorneys that are around and the few people helping with the handling of all their lawsuits. AA was really really screwing up and it wasn't just in the Enron audit.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 30, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) This is true, but it sure as hell seems to me he has money on the opposing teams more often than not. He makes alot of bone headed decisions more and i am not one of those people that says it after it happens. When i see something weird as hell going on i question it to see if anyone knows the answer why. More often than not he stumps everyone. I'll say this. I hate how he handles the bullpen but for the most part I love how he handles the starting rotation. Today was just totally boneheaded in terms of the guys he used off the bench. Can't wait for Gloadie to be back up.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) You know what, if Kenny needs to make a big move at the deadline, I hope that Josh Fields is one of the top chips, as opposed to a guy like Brian Anderson, who's hit everywhere he's been. I'm just sayin', it would be a real shame to see a second OF'er traded at or near the deadline (both guys who produced a helluva lot in the minors, too). Personally I'm a big Schnurstein fan. I think he'll slowly develop into a guy that could turn into a .300 hitter in the majors. It will be interesting to see how he progresses this year as well as to see what Fields does. I tend to agree with Keith though in the sense that even though the Sox have nothing else at 3rd (although I'm high on Schnurstein) I would probably deal him over Anderson as well.
  6. I had heard that they would be signed. There was a lot of talk that Boras was feeling the pressure and if he didn't get them signed his clients would really get hammered this year (more than previous years). This is actually a semi decent sign cause it may mean a few more teams take a chance on a Boras client.
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 30, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) LOL We are so damn lucky. This team is special, no doubt about it. By overcoming its managers decisions?
  8. Oh s***...Sox win. Thats the good news, the bad news is were gonna see a lot more of Timo after that it. And Ozzie you f***ed up big time.
  9. QUOTE(Fotop @ May 30, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Pierzynski, anyone? Bueller? No that would make way too much sense.
  10. f*** you Ozzie...f*** U Timo is worthless and shouldn't have a roster spot and Everett is a total turd right now. And now Timo is hitting. OH GOODNESS> f*** THIS s***
  11. What part of Everett and Timo blow ass does Ozzie not understand. Whether Carl comes through or not this is just a piss poor decision.
  12. Why the f*** do you pinch hit Everett here. Iguchi is this teams best hitter.
  13. Chisoxfn

    Timo

f***ing hell. First they blow a game for Buehrle and now this. This team is f***ing pathetic. They should of scored 8 runs, minimum. Horses***...its time to add some bats.
  14. QUOTE(farmteam @ May 30, 2005 -> 10:20 AM) Yeah, Cal Tech is an uber smart school. The only reason I asked is because I think the whole name is California School of Polytechnics or something. I'm assuming its similar to MIT and such.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 30, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Wasn't Poly tied with Long Beach? Ya, I'm pretty sure they finished tied with Beach. Poly also played the Titans really tight as well as LBSU. I don't get how a team conference can have 2 1 seeds and than the team that finishes pretty much tied with one of the 1 seeds doesn't get an at-large bid. As far as Cal Tech goes thats a different school. There is a Cal Poly Pomona (the one I'm speaking of) and a Cal Poly San Louis Obispo. Cal Tech must be a school of some sort, but the only time I hear there names are when there is an earthquake. You always have someone from Cal Tech on talking about it.
  16. Can Mackoviak play a decent 3rd? If he can I agree that he'd be a nice pickup. That being said I don't know if he'd cost much in terms of prospects. Personally I wouldn't mind picking up Mackoviak and Lawton. Of course the Sox have Jermaine Dye and well its not an option because of that.
  17. I think the Simpsons movie is supposed to be one of those things that comes up right after the show is over or something along those lines.
  18. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) U of I was leading the big 10 going into the big 10 tourney too, what a shame. I was kind of surprised they didn't get in, but then again the Big 10 isn't known as a baseball conference. If it makes you all feel better Caly Poly didn't get in and for a while they were basically tied with Fullerton in there conference (which is made up of two of the best teams in the country: Fullerton and Long Beach State). That was probably the single most jobbed team, imo. On a sidenote, what the hell happened to Georgia Tech.
  19. Man looking over the bracket my Titans got f***ing jobbed. They must have the hardest freaking regional of the group and they are one of, if not the best 3 teams in the country yet they get stuck with the hardest bracket. Than ASU somehow gets a freaking cakewalk of a bracket that they host, well compared to the Titans bracket with Arizona and Missouri both in it. However if Fullerton can move on they'd face ASU's bracket, but who knows if that will happen.
  20. Go Titans. Fullerton lost there final two games of the season, but one of the games was blown (first time there closer had given up a run in like 17 or 22 innings). Better than that it was the first start of one of their better starters in some time so it looks like they are getting healthy right in time. However, the two losses right at the end could bump them from #1 overall. Looking forward to another College World Series run...well hopefully Now how the hell the Titans went from #1 overall to #6 overall with two losses after clinching things up, I'll never freaking know.

  22. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 29, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) I didn't want to put it out there because I know Kenny reads the boards, and I didn't want to give him any ideas, but I've been thinking exactly the same thing RE:Carl.... Also, Shingo, Cotts, and Crede all have options left correct? Yep...Shingo has never used any while Crede should have at least one left and Cotts has never been demoted so he has all of his options remaining (actually check that, I think Cotts used one option that year where he started 4 games for us).
